San Diego vacation

This property suited us for the purpose of saving money on eating out and it gave us all a space to stay. However, the communication with the host was scarce when I had a request. There are little things, like the half painted kitchen, that were quirky. The pictures definitely make it look better than it is.

Great place, parking was bad

The place was great. Very clean, and as posted in pics. If you have more than one vehicle it may be troublesome to find parking in the street. I would stay here again.

Unable to get a hold of the owner,

Unable to get a hold of the owner to ask about entering the extra room. Lack of advertisement or description of where that separate room was. Couch was already damaged and smell prior to us arriving. Very uncomfortable couch. No paper towels to clean with.

Great location — the house itself could use some updates

The house itself was in a great location and almost all amenities were as described. It has a two car garage (AMAZING), washer and dryer, 4 bedrooms, a balcony and a patio. The two biggest issues we had were — the internet didn’t work the entire time we were there, even with the instructions the property manager gave us AND the downstairs balcony didn’t lock from the outside so we couldn’t lock up when we left. Also, there just weren’t enough supplies to cook for a group of 7 people. There were only like 5 cups in the entire house and about 3 small/medium pans. This place definitely has potential to be a 5 star stay! I’d stay here again just because of the location, garage and washer and dryer!

Not returning deposit after cancellation within agreed amount of time.

We booked the reservation, canceled it an hour later in agreement with VRBO posted terms. We contacted the property owner several times and reported it to our credit card company. The property owner has been non responsive.

Didn't get access to an entire bedroom; poor host communication

When we arrived at the home, the cleaner was still in the middle of cleaning because she said the host had told her to clean it too late in the day. Then we find out that there was no key to access one of the bedrooms - the cleaner couldn't even get in. So we went the entire weekend without access to a whole bedroom that we paid for. This in itself wouldn't be the end of the world except that the host barely responded to us and did NOTHING to try and solve the problem. This is a reflection of poor management and I would not recommend anyone staying here for that reason.

Has a lot of potential but stay away!

I’ve stayed at STRs all over the world and this was absolutely the worst place I’ve ever rented. The owner is horrible at communicating and the place is so run down. Almost everything was broke or in poor condition. Showers not working correctly, plugged sink. You get the idea. The code stopped working on the door during our first day and he said change the batteries and maybe I can reimburse you or something. He stopped responding when I asked him to send me the money we spent to reimburse them. No paper towels, only one garbage bag for 3.5 days etc

San Diego vacation

The property really did not accommodate our family comfortably. It advertised 4 bedrooms, however, the 4th “bedroom” was more of a studio located outside, which presented a security issue for us. Also, it was not accessible from the main house. It had lock issues and did not have a working smoke alarm. One of the “bedrooms” was the “living” room making it difficult to sit and visit unless the bed was made up each day. We also found the beds uncomfortable. The kitchen was fine, but the water from the sink and dishwasher had a bad smell. The air conditioner was great. In short, we would not stay again. VBRO should have someone verify properties to ensure that the description/pics are true and “honest” representations of the properties.This is the 2nd property that we rented through you and sadly both were disappointing. We have trust issues and in the future we will use another vacation rental company.
