A Coworker and I stayed at the property while we attended a conference at the Marriott Riverside. The house was much more affordable than staying at the hotel and could have accommodated more than just the 2 of us. We split the cost, bought groceries and made use of the kitchen to save on dining out for some of our trip. It was a quick, easy and affordable Uber ride to and from the conference, the Riverwalk and the airport. Unfortunately, we had issues with the AC the last couple of days but the owner was responsive to the issue. Due to the location {downtown in a somewhat industrial area with a busy business across the street} yes, there is more noise, no, there isn't a yard for kids, so it probably is not a good match for families with young kids. But if you are there on business or adult vacation and on a budget it's a good alternative.
We only stayed one night to be closer to the airport for our early flights the following morning but the place was cuter than expected and closer to downtown than expected which was great. However, when we arrived there were still alcohol cans on the porch from the party before us, a dirty rag left in the shower, several handfuls of broken shot cups that were spun in the garbage disposal from the party before us we had to dig out to use the sink and we couldn’t put our trash out properly this am bc of overflowing can out front. Other reviews had us worried about the neighborhood but it was totally fine. It seemed safe just a little industrial with a lot of new development coming up. We were a little uncomfortable that the windows didn’t have blinds and we could see both into others windows around us as well as a crew of construction workers on another home in the back so ladies, wear your robes for your morning coffee 😂. Honestly can’t beat the price for location. Would recommend.

Noisy & not family friendly
We had a rough stay here & experience all around. If you are traveling as a couple & are not worried about getting rest this is an ok place. It’s decorated cute and comfortable for the most part.
The noise level here however made it impossible for us to enjoy our stay.
When you read about a historic garden area you don’t think industrial area. There are a few businesses on the street. One a house away and one directly across the street. That one across was a metal business and it was super loud.
There are large dogs next door that go out in the morning between 5-530 am and they bark. If they can see you they bark. Even through the windows.
The worst was the bar behind the homes back alley. They have outdoor concerts Friday and sat nights. Very loud music and you can’t drown it out. 3 of our nights we couldn’t sleep till 1230 am because of it including the night we had a 530 am flight. It really sucked.
Advice for the owner, stock the place a little. We are a family of 3 adults, 2 teens and there were 4 coffee mugs and 4-6 of each place setting. I was forever doing dishes. There were only a few hangers in each closet & no dressers. We were there 8 night and we had to live out of suitcases.
A dresser in each room & more hangers would’ve helped hugely.
Also have proper cleaning supplies, we had a spill over on the stove & there was no stove top cleaner. We had to make a separate trip to buy some to care for the stove.
We had an issue with paying as well. We were charged the entire amount after Vrbo said it was splitting the payments. When I let the owner know I got basically oops. I said it’s a big oops & the response was we can not rent from him. I didn’t want my funds held up so I let it go but if I had know about the noise I wouldn’t have rented it.
The yard was not kid friendly, lots of debris and such.
Again, perfect if you plan on 2 people for a short stay if you don’t mind noise. If you have young kids who need sleep I would avoid this.
Within 30 minutes of checking in, I got onto one of the bunk beds to lay down and instantly had a giant cockroach crawl onto my face that came from underneath the pillow! The giant roaches fly too! The Host Tania Fuentes, did not care nor has she refunded my stay, (which I did not stay at all) and had to pay out of pocket for a hotel for all my guests (8). The host is a robot, she has no sympathy toward me or my family and does not care about your experience at her property, she just wants your money. It was a nightmare and still is because she has not refunded me my stay, after I sent in proof of the Roaches that are clearly on the bunk beds. She also shows misinformation on her pictures. She’s showing an additional room with just 2 twin beds but there is no such thing! She’s making it seem like you can comfortably sleep 11 people at her property, but it is false! Everything has been reported to Vrbo, and I have been waiting for their “health and safety” department to get back to me on the case. (Which is another nightmare because they keep hanging up on me). Hopefully this gets resolved soon!
I booked this property and had no problems at all. The train runs often, but you eventually ignore it. There are so many attractions near the home, great place. I loved this place and hope I can book it again in the future. Thank you for hosting us!!!!

Quiet Neighborhood plus!
Very cute & comfortable property. Inside has been recently remodeled! The owner was very tentative! The beds are super comfy too! It is located right behind the Alamodome, which it’s close to the river walk and market square. We wil definitely stay again.
