"First off, visitors need to understand that this is a hostel, not a hotel - reviewers who expected hotel-like amenities may not have understood what a hostel is. That said, the location, staff, and general atmosphere at Nosara Beach Hostel were excellent! This was my first time to stay in a hostel, and I recommend it without hesitation. The room was a bit warm at night, but I expected that, so it did not impact my enjoyment. The room, bathrooms, and grounds were clean; the staff was friendly...

"The entire shared space was used by locals and staff friends. No room for paying guests. We had to hang out outside the common space. Very hard to socialize with fellow travelers."

"Plenty of room for 8 adults and 3 young children. It is an easy walk to the beach from the property. I would recommend renting a golf cart or car to get to town and neighboring Carrillo beach. The pool and outdoor space were very nice. The house is stocked with plenty of supplies for cooking. Cleaning staff came twice during our stay and did a great job. Great stay overall."

"We visited 3 VRBOs while in Costa Rica. This was the best of the 3. Very nice accomodation; quiet, private, well appointed. Samara is a relaxing, easy going town with a fantastic beach and easy drive from Liberia. Alex and Carol were very helpful in preparing us for our trip (first time in Costa Rica), Leonie, the property manager, took care of any concerns immediatly. Wish we would have stayed longer."
