"Our stay at this beautiful VRBO was awesome! The pictures online did not do it justice – there were 12 of us in total, and we never once felt that it was crowded. We utilized the bungalows beside the pool and also utilized the rooms within the main house. "Fantastic villa in superb location, about 10 mins walk to the wonderful beach. Accommodation was great for our 3 families and the pool and gardens ideal for the children. Day to day housekeeping was provided by China and was on the whole fine, although there was a shortage of toilet rolls at one point! The manager Arnaud was also very responsive although voice messages rather than direct conversations was a little frustrating at times. Villa Pachuco could be a 5* property but does need upgrades...

"The house is lovely as is the pool. The cushions in main area and pillows in general smelled musty so we hung out outside. Be aware there is alot of construction in your backyard but we didnt really care. The pool is terrific and location is great, walking distance to really nice beaches and 15 -20 walk to large supermarket. We would happily return."

If you are expecting slick, new and air conditioning, this is not the place for you. "Very nice house and pool, panoramic view. Access road is steep, narrow with loose material, it was fortunate we had a four wheel drive vehicle, a 2 wheel drive car would have difficulty. I do not know how access would be in the case of rain. Our visit was spoilt by work on the neighboring lot, an excavator with a hydraulic hammer was used to break rock and the constant hammering made staying in the house during the working day (5 days, 8.30 to 5.30) most unpleasant, we found it necessary to go...

"The villa was just stunning, it felt like a tropical paradise. The walk to the nearly always empty pool was stunning, my children played all day between the house and pool. The local beach was the best I have ever seen and we enjoyed a drink at the local bars."

"If you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of life this is your spot super nice beaches which we enjoyed by ourselves. The road is is quite rough but go slow and take your time it’s no problem staff was great however we had a language issue ( English to DR). The pool was perfect for hanging out in the evenings. We hiked to Las Galares and enjoyed the locals and found some hidden gems (Raquel’s beach bar and a pizzeria on the main street right side facing the ocean)"

"Me and my family stayed at this beautiful hotel from 02/15/24-02/19/24. The apartment was spacious, clean with a breathtaking view of the Samana Bay. We were able to spot lots of whales out of our balcony!! The beds were cozy and clean. The breakfast was delicious. I would recommend this place for everyone and would definitely come back here some day. Special thanks to the manager Freddy, Alejandro receptionist for the smooth check in/out and for everything! "

"Nice clean room. Friendly staff. Extremely noisy! Neighbour adjacent to hotel plays music at a ridiculously loud level, had to use ear plugs and still sounded louder than a loud concert. Very very noisy part of town. "

"This is a real beach get away, there is not so much around but that adds to the tranquility of the area. If you need to just get away from the crowds and enjoy the coast this is a wonderful place. The jungle apartment also was incredible, we would spend an hour just watching the wildlife on the tree that runs through the building. Of course being in the jungle environment means jungle animals so be warned there will be some big looking spiders. "
