It is very convenient to the train station and to several of the sights. It was easy to walk where we wanted to go. Although the hotel doesn't have dining, there are several excellent restaurants in the area.

Our room was roomy and just fine. Location was very good. Be aware that there is no elevator. Our room on the 3rd floor was a bit of a jog--70 steps--but good exercise.

Accomodations were roomy and comfortable. There is no one at the desk at night. Our room was a 3 floor walk up, but it didn't bother us. The location was great, close to train/metro and old town.

Came for Xmas market & city experience. Can’t fault hotel except for the road noise - & I’m being really picky here! Impressed that could get in room earlier than check in time. Key collection process was painfree. Only staff we met was at checkout & very pleasant.

unfortunately was the window of our room towards the main street, which was very loud, even during the night. beside this, we liked the accommodation and would like to go again, if there is the chance to get a room, where the outside noise is not that terrible like this one.

This was an extremely basic hotel, bed, shower & shelf desk. However, I would recommend it. The staff are excellent. The cleaning staff make a lot of effort. Kettle & iron available at reception. Incredibly well located <10 minutes from train station & Mirabell Park. No air but fan in room. For a hotel on a limited budget this is excellent

The room was nice, but the parking area is very tiny. The shower desperately needs to be maintained as the water was leaking somewhere under the shower and it was oozing up through the floor when you stepped on it. We had to lay towels down on the bathroom floor to keep our feet dry. The bathroom floor also made an ugly squishing sound. I can't even imagine the mold/damage underneath that floor. The area is very walkable - we didn't move our car once in the 3 days we were there. We just walked everywhere.

The room door and front door situation was complicated for our family because there was only one key and both doors had to be manually unlocked. Other than that, it wasnt a big problem, just a minor inconvenience.

Good location, didn't love the vibe

Needed a simple stay somewhere before an early flight, and while the location was pretty convenient and nothing was explicitly wrong, it lacked the charm and polish I'd expect in that price range, and the unmanned reception desk from lunchtime onwards was more of an issue for me personally than I'd anticipated. Also as i tried to leave just after the receptionist arrived they stopped me to check I'd paid, and was initially doubtful when i said i had - which was a bit of a pain as i was rushing for a taxi. All in all, certainly not a terrible experience but I'd look for a 24 hour reception next time, and i have seen it in that price range in Salzburg before. But this is just personal preference

Disappointing

We got allocated the top floor room - there was no elevator and having to carry luggages up 3 flight of stairs with no assistance, was definitely a feat. Then we had to carry everything down the next day. The doors were the traditional lock and key (only 1 key provided) so if someone else leaves, you either choose to NOT lock the door (or risk not being able to leave the room in an emergency) or having to climb down 3 flights of stairs to let your partner in. The condition of the room and toilet were also just mediocre. Would not stay more than as a transit hotel- even that was disappointing for the price we paid.

BEDBUGS! When we arrived the room was just in okay cleanliness standards: the toilet seat was loose, shower head was coming off the wall and there were dust bunnies on the ground. We woke up after the first morning with little black spots on the sheets and my wife said that she saw a bug. The second morning we woke up and there were blood spots on the bedding, a few dead bedbugs, a bedbug running across the bead, and when my wife turned around there was one attached to her back. I looked between the bed and wall and it looked like they had poured a powdered insecticide along the edge of the bed. I told the receptionist at checkout and she was just like “oh no, have a good day”. They knew about the problem and shrugged it off. Not happy at all and now we have to treat everything before going home.
