We stayed here for one night. There were definitely some positives. Communication was quick, and the location was nice. It felt tucked away from everything while still being convenient to Saluda, Hendersonville, and the mountains. The overall concept and setup of the cabins is a great idea.
Unfortunately, the actual experience didn’t quite live up to what we expected from the listing. The bath water never got very warm, and there was a drinking water purifier provided, but it wasn’t hooked up. The cabin accommodates five guests, and we paid for five, but there were only four chairs around the campfire.
The cabin itself felt somewhat like a basic cabin that had been whitewashed and decorated rather than a property that had been fully updated. Some things were nice, while other finishes and furnishings felt inexpensive. There were also noticeable gaps between the wood floorboards where you could see through the floor, and sound carried very easily throughout the cabin.
We were especially looking forward to enjoying the outdoor areas. Unfortunately, the pond shown on the property was essentially a mud pit during our stay. The water feature that did have water had a tremendous number of mosquitoes, which made it difficult to sit outside and enjoy the property. The outdoor setting was one of the reasons we chose this place, so that was disappointing.
The host responded quickly, which I appreciated, but the communication did not always feel particularly gracious or hospitable.
