This property is in a nice location. However, upon arrival, the room was clean, but the cleaning towel was left there by the maid. No big deal, we set it aside and it was fine. The room never got cool enough to sleep comfortably. We were on the west side of the building on the second floor, and with the huge windows and the evening sun, that probably made it difficult to cool off. The bed was a bit firmer than I would care for, and my hubby thought it was great. The pillows were the standard Marriott pillows, which are too poofy for either of us. I guess we are picky with our sleep system,m but hey, who isn't?
We slept and woke up to head out on some medical errands and come back to the hotel while waiting until we got a call. When we arrived back at the hotel that morning at 10 AM, our belongings were in the maid's laundry bin, and our room had been remade for the next clients. We had asked for a late check out the night before and the regular check out time is at noon so it is concerning that the maid assumed that we had left when we hadn't. The manager, Heather, took care of us and gave us a refund for 20% of our bill. She was very kind and hospitable.
In the 20+ years that I have been a travel consultant and online social media content creator, I have never experienced something like this before. It was very frustrating and not something I'd expect from a Marriott.
One more thing is that there is a $20 charge for parking. I didn't see it listed on Expedia. Heads up!
