"Gite was compact and comfortable, just what we needed for a 2 week stay. The hosts Karen and Steve met us when we arrived, were really friendly and gave suggestions of where to visit. The location was perfect, peaceful, but easy enough with a car to reach other places to visit. We will definitely return!"

"Fabulous week in the Dordogne based at this property - very rural and quiet but lots of lovely towns and Chateau’s and other things to see and do in the region so you will need a hire car to get around. The Gîte is superbly welcoming and comfortable - has everything you need for your stay. Craig and Caroline are fantastic hosts too, full of great advice beforehand when planning your stay and also on hand if needed while there. If I could 6 stars here I would! "

"This is a lovely gite, set in a tranquil spot, well equipped and maintained - we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. But most of all, Thierry and Régine were the most welcoming, generous and helpful hosts, and made our stay so memorable. We felt that we had made new friends... On a practical level: the stairs are steep, so not ideal for anyone with mobility issues; there's no washing machine (but we were offered the chance to use theirs); we really did feel as though we had the pool...

"Lovely cosy farmhouse in a great location. Hot tub was a bonus. Perfect for up to 4 people, but anymore may be a tight fit if weather not good and you were not able to use the outside space. Thoroughly enjoyed our time at Saint Avit Senieur. Would recommend."

"Our two year old son loved the outdoor area: chasing the ducks, watching tia the dog and the horses being cooled down with water. The sandpit (boulles area!) was his favourite and we really appreciated the fenced swimming pool with 2 locks. No need to bring any toys, lots of games were provided. The only thing we’d look for next time would be mosquito nets around the beds and some cushions for the outdoor seating for when we’re outside in the evening. "For the price I paid I was VERY Happy with Résidence Lagrange Vacances Le Clos des Vignes. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location right next to the park / beach . We ate out most of the time but everything appeared to be within the apartment for those who eat in. Furniture a bit jaded, but again for what I paid for it I can't complain. Would definitely return. "We have had a disappointing experience with this vacation rental. All four of us have suffered from bed bugs. We initially thought we were dealing with mosquitoes. But the bites got so big and painful that it wasn't until later that we realized we were dealing with bed bugs. We complained about this to the landlord afterwards and it seemed only reasonable to us that they would refund half as our holiday enjoyment was seriously ruined. We have not received any response from the landlords."
