"It’s a charming and sweet place to come back to each night after our day trips. The host was very informative with places to eat, grocery stops and surrounding hikes. We definitely would return!"
Beautiful Cottage in the Heart of the Redwoods

"The Ken(u) Cottage was perfect for our small family reunion (3 of us) for 5 days. The Host was so accommodating, helpful and easy to communicate with. The cottage is beautifully decorated and everything you might need is there, with the exception of your food, drinks, clothing. There is a washer and dryer available, and they will also provide needs for a baby/small child (like highchair and other items) check with them on that. It's pet friendly, I believe it's up to 3 dogs. They must be under your control, particularly because of wildlife in the area. We didn't encounter that during our stay. It's located central to most visited locations in northern California. Very convenient. It felt like we were at home. This cottage has 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a sofa with a pull-out bed. Staying here will always be a highlight of our trip. We highly recommend Heart of the Redwoods!We visited the Trees of Mystery, several stops with areas of historic sites and points of interest, like a WWII Radar Station, the Hoopa Valley, we dined at the Sunset Grill, the Seaquake Brewery in Crescent City, breakfast at Toni's in Arcata, off track from the normal we crossed from Hoopa to the coast via Bald Hills Road (beautiful sunsets above the clouds. So much more to see in this area!"

"We wanted something close by and this fit our needs perfectly. The home was spotless, had everything you needed which was fantastic as a trip to the grocery store isn't a 2 minute walk. Liv was quick with communication when the internet went out for a little bit. We Are in the mountains so of course there may be a blip with the wifi here and there. If you prepare yourself beforehand it doesn't cause any issues whatsoever. We were not there for movies and such. We were very happy with the comfort of the beds, the back porch is where we spent most of our time when we were there. There is a beautiful garden that in September was still bearing peppers, tomatoes, round squash, beautiful rosemary plants, zucchini and more. The neighbors were Also Very VERY Friendly. We felt like we were very welcome and safe in the neighborhood. I highly recommend staying here in Klamath on your next trip to the Redwoods"
FARM HOUSE ON ACREAGE IN THE REDWOODS

"We loved many things about this home: a 1st floor bedroom, large kitchen and living room, enough upstairs rooms for everyone, and a well decorated home. Some things we weren't expecting: cold floors (and feet) since only space heaters were provided and driving through a 'messy' neighborhood to get to the house. A fireplace was available for our use but we did not want to mess with it and we do not keep space heaters plugged in while we are gone (fire hazard)... and we were told once we arrived there's no furnace.The 'messy' neighborhood was a bit scary for us since we are not used to junk in yards and dilapidated homes. On the backside of the home there is a more rural farm but you must drive through this messy neighborhood first. The entrance to this rental faces this neighborhood."

"We had a wonderful time. The place was inviting and had a lot to offer for a fun family experience. The garden offered a great place to watch bees and butterflies flying from flower to flower. The fruit trees brought in birds. The creek had small fish and crawfish to watch and try to catch and release. The trail to the creek was manageable for my 4yo on his own if he didn't have anything in his hands. The creek had swimming holes that were deep and small rapids for the kids to go down on tubes. The hostess was very responsive and kind. Given the option we would love to return at a future date."
