Bigfoot Motel

"I just returned home to Oregon after meeting some friends from central California in Willow Creek, where I had reserved a room at the Bigfoot Motel for us. The motel is certainly an older facility that shows it's age, but the new owners are certainly working hard to get it back to its former glory. They were ready for me when I arrived. The room I reserved had two beds and a nice futon, easily accommodating 3 grown men. The room was clean, with fresh linens and towels. The air conditioner worked perfectly during the 100 degree days. The refrigerator and microwave were handy too. They've installed new outdoor security cameras to monitor the property and we felt perfectly fine leaving our motorcycles parked in the lot. Some folks have provided less than stellar reviews because the building is showing it's age as the new owners are slowly bringing it back to its glory days, even though the very reasonable room rates reflect the fact it's a work in progress. Willow Creek is a nice LITTLE town in an incredible area full of history and fun and beautiful natural scenery! Give the Bigfoot Motel a chance and have a great time!"

"This place was nothing short of amazing!! The home was very clean and updated, the host was very communicative and our stay was very comfortable. The first morning we woke up and had an entire herd of elk in the front yard!! This has hands down been the best stay we've ever had!! We're beyond satisfied with this stay!"

"We had a wonderful time. The place was inviting and had a lot to offer for a fun family experience. The garden offered a great place to watch bees and butterflies flying from flower to flower. The fruit trees brought in birds. The creek had small fish and crawfish to watch and try to catch and release. The trail to the creek was manageable for my 4yo on his own if he didn't have anything in his hands. The creek had swimming holes that were deep and small rapids for the kids to go down on tubes. The hostess was very responsive and kind. Given the option we would love to return at a future date."

"The house was super cute! We were close to the beach and the forest which was convenient. Also got to have a fire pit in the back yard which was very quiet and cute"

"We've stayed at a lot of rentals all over the world and this rental is by far the most accommodating rental we have ever been at. The sheets and towels felt luxiourious, coffee and creamer provided, elk greeted us on our arrival. Thank you for hosting, so glad we caught a last minute cancellation!"

"This property was everything we had hoped for and much more. The decor felt like a charming B&B with nice finishing touches. The kitchen was so well stocked, and the game room had all the amenities we enjoy. The house was so comfortable, and the backyard was the absolute best. The hosts definitely went out of their way to ensure we had a very nice visit. The area was so well suited for us. The reason for our trip (May 2026) was a college graduation at Cal Poly Humboldt, located an hour south of the property. But having been there last year, we decided we didn't need the closeness of Arcata & Eureka. We spent a day at the mouth of the Klamath and saw a very large brown bear which was exciting. Spent a day at Fern Canyon and Prairie Creek. Another day was spent at Trees of Mystery. Weather could not have been more perfect. We felt very welcome staying on the reservation. We would definitely stay here again and can't recommend the hosts enough. Very attentive hosts and clean house. Book it and you'll enjoy it. Jill"
