"The rooms were very clean and well stocked with coffee and tea etc. The bathroom had plenty of towels and tissues. The shower was excellent. The staff were helpful . The swimming pool was excellent with sauna and steam. I had breakfast outside so cannot comment on the food. I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel."

"Nice hotel with walkable grounds, spacious rooms and a airy lobby with a bar and lots of seating areas. Staff very friendly & helpful. Breakfast buffet was decent but not as good as I expected for the price tag. The room did not have a refrigerator or ice, nor is there an elevator if you can't carry your luggage upstairs."

"The hotel was very comfortable, and its location near the city center made it easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 for one reason. Our room was advertised as a nice window room, but the window looked into a dirty structure with barbed wire, inside the building, overlooking the lounge. I kept the curtains closed the whole stay because looking out gave me the major ick. I would suggest covering those windows with an opaque film that still lets light through, so guests don't have to see the garbage right outside."

"All great - and perfect for a one night stay but Car Parking a problem - we arrived late and the car park was full and it was a walk through an industrial estate to park off road somewhere. Not ideal if you were a solo traveller and having to negotiate that area a night. Would put me off booking again which is a shame because the hotel itself and the staff were great"

"This is a lovely hotel! The staff were so helpful and friendly. The rooms are very comfortable and had tea, coffee and biscuits waiting. We loved the historic charm and the bar/cocktail lodge was so nice after a day of touring. Would definitely stay here again!"
