The small condominium is beautifully maintained and mainly occupied by long term residents making it a very quiet and safe oasis. Communication with Sandra the owner is excellent. "The host was very welcoming initially but unfortunately this did not last long. On the first night's stay, coming back, the host sleeping at the front door is not what I expect during my holidays. And this was only the start, there was a constant feeling of being monitored around the apartment, with odd incidences and requests from the host that intruded upon my personal boundaries. I feel boundaries were overstepped too much."

Alvor heeft voortreffelijke restaurants met zeer goede kwaliteit voor een normale prijs. Leuke cafeetjes met livemuziek. Appartement had voldoende inventaris om 7 weken door te brengen met goede service van de eigenaresse. Volgend jaar weer naar Alvor."

"O hotel é muito bem localizado, muito embora não tenha estacionamento próprio, há vagas gratuitas em frente. Recepção solicita e eficiente. Café da manhã delicioso, com vários itens sempre frescos, frutas, pães, e frios. Quarto com varanda, chuveiro potente, cama confortável,e roupas de cama e banho novas e perfumadas. Fui por recomendação do meu filho e nora, e eu mesma recomendo a estadia no CARVI."

"Amazing location at the heart of Praia da Rocha. Highly recommend to stay here. Beds and pillows were very comfortable, overall very clean. Only stayed for one night, but I am planning to return to explore more the South part of Portugal and will try to stay here again because of its location and ammenities. Breakfast was included, with many options."

"Although ours was a very short stay.. I can say this for sure that this is in such a great location. Walking distance to EVERYTHING! Yes the beach is not walkable but they have shuttles. The marina is just a walk over the bridge. So many shopping and dining options. Boat tours from marina easy to access as well. Breakfast was also very good. Room spacious and clean. We didn’t use the pool but it looked nice. Bar was good and there was a happy hour. In the evening they had someone playing the guitar which was nice as well. I would stay here again if going to Lagos. "
