"3-star property with 5-star staff. The hotel and rooms could use a refresh for sure, but I wouldn’t want to deter anyone from staying here especially as an individual traveller. The staff were all extremely friendly and help"

"No cleaning service during the stay. Bathroom paint job was pretty bad considering the recent renovation. Maybe the repair was incomplete? There is an energy saving power shutoff system that dropped the temperature at night. I suggest they put an information card or sign up to explain how it worked because we were just guessing."

"The room was acceptably clean, no breakfast offered with room, and the pool was overrun with a rowdy group who were grossly overstaying their numbers allowed to rooms (no fault of the hotel) causing management to close the pool. The lobby and hallways were kept nice and smelled pleasant. Overall a good stay, less the group of 50 or so rowdy guests whose children were unsupervised at the pool."

" My mother booked a room for me after a long day of meetings and had to be up early in the morning for another long day. i live over an hour away and staying closer cut down my travel time immensely! So I go to check in and the hotel attendant at the front desk tells me that I can’t use a chime or Cash App card for incidentals! And that was the only cards I had on me. Then I was told that they could not cancel the reservation and that we needed to call Hotels.com to cancel and if the website was not updated with the information about the cards it was not the Westins responsibility to cancel or refund back to my mother. I was crushed to say the least because I love the Westin and have stayed there plenty of times and never ran into this problem. I understand that there may be issues when trying to refund the money back to chime, but nothing was said at the time of booking. So I ended up staying at a hotel up the street. So word to the wise…DON’T try to use your chime/cash app card for incidentals!!"

"The hot tub wasnt working during my stay but that was minor. Everyone was so nice and atrantive and the property was above gorgeous. My room was spotless and the bed was spacious and very comfortable. I plan on taking another trip to Michigan and i definitely plan to stay here again! "

"DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!!! I could have given this room a no rating I would of. The 1st room we walked into wasn't cleaned at all had alcohol bottles on the bed. So they gave as another room. This one was at least clean when it came to the bed sheets but most of everything else was nasty. Food or nothing in the heater/ac unit, fridge and microwave were not cleaned. Something sticky on the phone, peeling wall paper in the bathroom above shower head, peeling wall paper around the main room,no smoke detector with exposed wires. Will never stay there again."

"Beautiful facility. I celebrated my birthday in the Jefferson Ballroom with family and friends. I was satisfied with my hotel room; however, there was a fire drill at 3AM and we had to evacuate. We had to walk down the stairs from the 10th floor to find out it was a false alarm. We had a hard time falling back asleep and then it was time to fall asleep. We did not really get to enjoy our overnight stay. It was a waste of $$$. However, the Radissson Southfield is a nice Hotel."

"A little disappointing with this Embassy Suites which is NEVER a problem that we have. We got checked in...went to use the pool and it literally took your breath away with the chlorine. Had to put a towel over your face it was so strong. The property iteself is just in need of serious upgrades. One elevator not working...ceiling tiles falling down in our room...just needs some major TLC in the future. Not what the expectation is when you pay and stay at an Embassy Suites "

"Room was excellent, pool was closed due to child poop that morning. During the middle of the night, there was a room of 3 adult women having absolute screaming match at each other in their room, out in the hallway, outside. Front desk staff had to come up multiple times and tell them to stop as they had 5+ rooms complain. At that point, 3 am, how is anyone getting any sleep. It was ridiculous. "
