"It's seen better days. Quality of the meals was disappointing. Room was spacious and clean but the property in general is tired and needs upgrading. It's a bit on the outskirts of the main part of Yamashiro Onsen but there's a bus stop across the street if you want to get into town. We took it to get to Yamanaka Onsen and to Kakusenkei Gorge."

"I booked this hotel mainly for its airport shuttle. Even though there’s only one to the airport in the morning, they went above and beyond to help and accommodate me. The room was massive and provided absolutely lovely views. I do have tattoos so they had to be covered when entering the bath. The building is old and smells of moisture, which I think comes with running an onsen. Overall, I enjoyed my stay very much. "

The introduction to zazen was great, though Japanese speakers will get most out of this - ditto the lecture before morning service. "This was my first time to stay in a Ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) and I really like it! The hotel was a bit old but still in good condition. They have indoor & outdoor hotspring pool plus many other facilities for you to enjoy during your stay. Buffet breakfast & dinner both were great too. Great stay to relax in hot Onsen springs
"This hotel is wonderful with amenities such as hot onsen to relax and recover tired legs and body. I was amazed of how beautiful this property is. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and nice. Staff welcoming but didn’t speak English so it was a bit lost in translation. They allowed storage of luggage while we already check out to explore furthermore of the city. Location was a distance walk from train station and buses. 18 minute walk. Probably will reconsider in future while it can be a distance from transit and train station."
