"Went in May. Bunk was warm but not unbearable, although had no need for the quilt. I found the mattress quite comfortable, and although the compartment was small I was able to move around inside comfortably. Noise does travel easily between adjacent compartments for those easily disturbed. I fear that on one heavy-drinking night I may have been the snoring disturbance, so bear this in mind. "Lovely hostel, we booked the family room, decent size for family of 4 with big luggages. What I really like wash sink, shower & bathroom is separated which makes getting ready in the morning fuss free! Situated in good location, less than 3 mins walk to underground subway station! Lots of good restaurants around the area & shopping! A very good stay! "

"9.5/10 - perfect place that is outside of the city's hustle and bustle but close to one of the oldest temples in Japan. You can easily access the train and Nakamise - dori street. I did the shared room but they have private room options. Linens were white and very clean spaces. "

"First off, staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was ideal and close to essential tourist subways. Excellent coffee served there. Only two negatives was, checks ins could be anytime of the day or night. Which really left me exhausted the night before leaving japan and on other days. . And a problem I noted in a previous hostel, pillows can't be washed so previous sweat stains evident from previous guests, when you sweat, the smell is released. So sorry as the place was great. "
