"Domaine de Grande Fort is a beautiful place to stay. Situated near Bergerac and overlooking the River Dordogne, our hosts Isabelle and Stephane made us very welcome. We had an excellent dinner and a fine breakfast the next morning. As we sat eating our meals outdoors looking down to the river and across to the beautiful gardens we were sorry that we were just staying for one night. We will return to this peaceful place."

"From the beginning the coms with Xavier were really good with him getting back to us almost immediately. Like all châteaus we have stayed in there is always someone on site. Artur was lovely giving us fresh produce from the garden and we loved the dogs. The kitchen has everything that you need for a large group. The outside is perfect for family dining, BBQ and pizzas (get advice if you haven't worked one before). The pool is really secure and was thoroughly enjoyed. We bought some extra fans as it was very hot. Le Fleix has a shop in walking distance for essentials and large supermatkets within 5k. We were 11 adults with a 2.6 year old and 6 month old. We used the games room and had a fabulous time."

"Very pretty area even if a little noisy from restaurants nearby. 10 mins walk from the train station. If you have lots of luggage it's best to let the owner know in advance, because there's no elevator (but he was extremely kind and brought my luggage up for me :-). A lovely stay!"

"The host is just so helpful and cheerful, the room is super clean and the attention of detail from the host makes the stay so much enjoyable. Unfortunely for me, my room was the one on the main road and I am a light sleeper, so sleep was not the best experience so agreed with host to reserve a room at the back of the Mas for my next stay.
