"What a lovely property! Lots of space. We were a big family group, mixed ages. The pool was a god send as the weather was tres chaud! Beautiful sunsets. The place was very well equipped. Didn’t use the Moroccan room as it was just too hot for us. The owner was very communicative and helpful to my queries. Nothing was too much trouble. "We stayed here for the second time and had forgotten quite how good it is. It has the most equipped kitchen with every utensil you wish for. There are several fridges so for a large group it is easy to cook and have space for drinks. We loved our stay and are grateful for the thought and care that has gone to furnishing this house. "A traditional French country house, clean and tidy with good facilities. Bikes were helpfully left at the house for us to use. We enjoyed the table tennis table, darts etc on our evenings in. We sadly didn't have very good weather but the garden area, pool etc would be great in the sun. Montboyer is very quiet but the local restaurant and bakery are worth visiting. The house is in a good location for exploring, we loved Aubeterre and Brantome and also had a great day in Cognac."

"Stayed for 2 weeks in this lovely apartment- part of a classic French property with a garden and private pool. Although secluded the property is less than 10 minutes drive to Brantome with its many good restaurants and market. Some fine walks in the local area as well. Our hosts, Sandra and Alun, were very helpful about places to visit and great company over a glass or two of wine. We cannot recommend this property or location highly enough."

A secret retreat in the Périgord
"A simply wonderful stay in a most beautiful location. The tranquility, stunning views and super pool allowed us to completely relax. The short walk through the countryside into Agonac enabled us not to use transport everyday & the added benefit of the rail station was another plus. Our hosts could not have been more welcoming, nothing too much trouble. Lauren discreet yet there if we needed him and Collette a phone call away. We would absolutely love to return next year.
