"We recommend this place for anyone looking for tranquility, walks, bike rides and visiting villages of character and local markets. Plus if you are looking for excellent and affordable local restaurants, you are in for great surprises. The place is very comfortable, well equipped, has character and certainly cool during hot days. The nearby pool is overlooking fields and hills and offers a great site for enjoying sunsets. Perfect!"

"We all loved our time at Nicholas’ house. There is so much to do at the house and it is surrounded by a wall which makes it very easy to be with young families. We picked the vegetables and fruit, fed the chickens and absolutely loved spending time in the river. The pool is beautiful and the house is homely and elegant with everything you need for a happy and easy stay. Nicholas was extremely communicative and kind. We would love to come back again as a group or with others - thank you so much."

"We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house in a wonderful location. Our hosts Eliane and Richard were super friendly and helpful whilst remaining discreet and totally respecting our privacy. The house is lovely, very clean and well equipped, everything you need to self cater, comfortable beds and a log burner (which we didn’t need) for chilly evenings. The location is just amazing, very close to Ruffec for shopping but so calm and peaceful. It really is on a little island so there is...

"This property should not be on vrbo site or advertised hosts were very pleasant on the phone as we were arriving late evening , very hard to find the property no number on the gate description is totally wrong near park and shops it was more like on an industrial site , eventually got into the property and was very very disappointed cleanliness was awful there was no lounge to sit and relax just two bedrooms , the bedding was appalling and was certainly not up to standard then to top it all...

"The cottage is absolutely lovely and has everything one needs for a short or longer stay. Robert is a kind, considerate and generous host who gave us vegetables from his garden when we arrived. We had a great week there and enjoyed the quiet, rural location and private nature of the cottage and enclosed garden. We will definitely return! Highly recommended. "

"Une maison, c'est vrai un peu vieillotte mais où l'on s'y sent très bien, chacun son espace, des espaces pour être ensemble. Bien équipée, spcieuse, des fenêtes comme des tableaux sur la nature et un magnifique environnement bien entretenu. Accueil sympathique. Un seul petit bémol sur l'entretien de la piscine qui n'avait visiblement pas été fait pour notre arrivée. Seule une personne a osé se baigner."

"I will give negative first - no bedding, towels or tea towels provided. VRBO site initially, but not now, stated all provided. Take your own, including pillows and quilts. Ones provided are stained and old. Owner not interested in helping. Positive - luckily, lovely people based at this very quiet and peaceful holiday village were more than helpful and we sorted the issue ourselves., at a cost of 40€, not reimbursed/dismissed by owner. Bungalow is well equipped, comfortable and very private....

"The staff is helpful and friendly. The rooms are alright too. But the location of the hotel is convenient only if the purpose of your trip is to visit the Cartoon Museum, which is around the corner. To get to the old town, where all the monuments, museums, churches, and restaurants are, you have to walk up a steep hill for fifteen minutes."

"Everything you need for a wind-down in the country. All you could need is provided in the clean and comfortable gite. Not quite silence - there are sheep a couple of fields away and the hum of insects gorging on the flowers. Walks through the fields and woods in the area from the front door. Genial hosts with good local knowledge, friendly and discrete. "
