"We stayed at Le Fitz Roy last year and enjoyed our stay so much we decided to stay again for this year's Val Thorens ski trip. This hotel is in the perfect ski-in-ski-out location at the bottom of the plain sud piste and also in the middle of town - ideal for bars, restaurants and shopping. "The room was perfect for our needs (2 bedroom apartment with 3 guests). Hotel has everything you need. Great views out to the slopes & a lovely outdoor terrace with plenty of seating. You can ski straight out of the hotel. Ski passes & ski hire all available to hire from the hotel. We had drinks in the bar (service was great) but didn’t eat in the restaurant so can’t comment. The only issue we had was the kitchen equipment being dirty. We had to wash everything before using it due to old food...

"Had an amazing stay at the altapura, read a few reviews a few days before we went and were worried, but it was great. Main complaints were about how hot the rooms were, which were understandable, but opening the window solved that. The other critique we read was about the restaurants and choice of food for half board. Breakfast was buffet and had a great selection. Dinner you get 65 euros contribution each evening towards food, which you can choose from the menu of the 3 different restaurants they have. European, Japanese and a cheese place. The food is all cooked fresh and to a great standard. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the hotel is in my opnion in the perfect location, ski in skin out, not far from several ski lifts, but not in thr centre of town so you don't get all the noise and footfall. Beds were really comfy, overall had a great experience and will be back next year! "
