"Overall a good value for a budget hotel. Parking and room access due to the hillside was ok using the long ramp, but not easy for my elderly mother. Property condition was not unusual for a budget hotel, but not outstanding either. Our room had a shared balcony that was so badly weathered as to make it unusable… possibly unsafe."

"We stayed a week for a family wedding and it was perfect for our family. We fed EVERYONE each night from the well-stocked kitchen, and then fell into comfortable beds. We spent time on the front deck, and enjoyed the swing. The house has lovely decor, attention to providing all you could need, and we received immediate return contact from the owners when we asked a question. The one thing that needs attention is the front door: sometimes it could be unlocked and sometimes not! Overall, I highly recommend this house and would rent it again."

"This place is a real gem, especially for the price we got it for. Everything was clean and fully stocked when we arrived. Loved the decorations everywhere, especially the sun room out back. There were many nice to haves like firewood and extra foodstuffs in the pantries. The documents that were sitting on the table gave all the information we needed, contacting the owner was pretty straightforward and efficient. My group loved meeting the goats outside haha. Everyone found a comfortable place to stay, we didn't have to use any of the living rooms for sleeping but some friends brought cots we utilized. The AC was a bit finicky at first, but we realized a vent was closed in one of the rooms. Overall this is definitely a stay that I would recommend to anyone visiting the Duluth/Cloquet area."

"The property was as advertised- well stocked, clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable, wonderful bedding and plenty of towels in the bath. In the basement there is a large pet crate- it's like one of those runs that some people have in their backyard. So if your pup needs a place to chill while you're gone, it is very large with a 5 foot ceiling, and would accommodate even a very large dog. The neighborhood was quiet and the front enclosed sun porch brings in great light and is a good place to store your bikes."

"Nice tucked away home with plenty of living space. Good for large groups. Easy access to Carlton, Cloquet, and Duluth. Pretty sunsets over the water. Biggest concern was the lake level was too low to fish from dock or to get our boat to the dock, but this was not within owner’s control. Only other opportunity was that trash cans from prior guests were all full, but staff came the day after we alerted them and hauled it away. Overall, a nice home with a lot of room to spread out."
