"This GITE is in a beautiful spot and the house itself is pretty, comfortable and well equipped. The owners were helpful and pleasant. I booked this gite as the listing said it had a private pool. I understood ‘private’ to mean private to the gite. The pool is, in fact shared, with one other gite and the owners family. Whilst we were there, the owners children and grandchildren were visiting which made the pool too busy at times. Elsewhere in the listing it does say shared pool, but I didn’t see this until after the booking. The pool is also away from the house up a steep set of steps, which made it nearly impossible to get there for my elderly mother. Again, the issue is about clarity in the listing. It was a beautiful pool. My only other dissatisfaction was that there was an extra charge for bed linen that also wasn’t immediately obvious in the listing, and also a charge for cleaning at the end of the stay, although we could have done this ourselves. I was told that extra for linen hire is standard for French rentals (though this isn’t my experience) and that’s fine, but I think this should be made clear in the listing. All that said, the place was lovely, I just felt a bit misled by the description in the listing."

"We had a wonderful stay despite the weather being mixed. The spa was a lovely treat when sitting by the pool wasn’t appealing - although make sure you book your hour as it fills up quickly. We had a lovely evening in the bar with music and tapas - it was meant to be in the rose garden but equally lovely. Unfortunately didn’t manage to have proper dinner as didn’t book in time - the restaurant is only small. Breakfasts were a highlight already though! We had a lovely family room which was a great size for a family of 4 with 2 teenagers. Plus a lovely large terrace. My only complaint would be for a family of 4 , giving us 2 double beds wasn’t practical. The sofa bed was too small for 2 teenagers of different sex! Or even a teenager + parent. We ended up requesting an additional camp bed which I don’t think we should have had to pay for. Overall a lovely stay though and we will definitely be back!"

"Absolutely beautiful new hotel. Warm welcome on arival and excellent show around and room check in. The room was excellent and far exceeded my expectations. Separate living area, bedroom bathroom and private terrace. Nice to have air-conditioning during the hot weather. The pool was lovely and also over seen by the bar staff who give you a bottle of chilled water when you get there. The bbq on a friday is certainly worth doing the food and cocktail were amazing 5 out of 5 for everything."

"This is beautiful and quirky hotel in an old part of the town centre of Souillac. Owners appeared to be welcoming and charismatic. Lady owner communicates in English if struggling to speak in French. Rooms presented to be very nice and clean, while beds very comfortable. Bathroom appeared to be clean but would benefit from a little renovation. There is shower in the bathtub but no rail to attach it, which was a little bit inconvenient. There is cafe and dinning room downstairs, which seems to attract a lot of locals. Breakfast is served in the dinning room, though I would personally rather have something to eat elsewhere. Hygiene standards in the dinning room are not what I am used to, and are somehow low."

"La situation de l'hôtel est un atout certain ainsi que ses nombreuses aménités. Nous avons en effet été témoins de certains problèmes rapportés dans d'autres commentaires comme la prise qui se détache. La chambre était petite, mais propre et les lits confortables. La dame au comptoir était charmante et vraiment aidante. Le sentiment est celui d'un village vacances qui souffre d'un certain vieillissement, mais notre expérience a été très bonne. Le séjour s'est très bien passé, mission accomplie."
