"Had a lovely 1 week stay. Quiet location but near enough to local shops. The weather was very hot so benefitted from the shaded areas. There were quite a few mosquitoes so go prepared ( we weren't). Would recommend to family and friends"

"A lovely gite in a beautiful remote rural setting with a fantastic pool in an enclosed courtyard. The surrounding countryside is very picturesque but near to the pretty towns of Brantome and Boudeilles. There was plenty of room for our family of 5 (including 3 teenagers). The house also has a large lawned area, great for our dog! Our host Pam was very kind and helpful, communicated well about our booking, and made us a mean lemon drizzle cake! "We spent a fantastic week at the property. Our party was made up of 4 adults and 2 children (aged 7 and 2). The pictures of the property do not do it justice! It’s spacious, clean and has everything you need for a great holiday. The location of the property is ideal for exploring all that the Dordogne has to offer. "We had a great stay with Cath. The gite is extremely well equipped with all the extras you need including washing liquid, dish washer tabs etc. the bed is very big and comfortable with good quality bedding; my husband is 6ft 4 and he found the bed a good size. There is a great garden and private pool; great for us and our dog. The nearest bakery is a 10 minute drive but a van delivering fresh bread and pastries comes to the hamlet twice a week. "Lovely views from the pool out across French countryside. Pool is modern, clean and good size. Some issues with the electric cover, but that was down to a failed sensor which is on order. House is lovely and unspoilt, we loved it. But for some the interior lighting might be on the dim side. This did not bother us as we were out by the pool most of the time. There are alot of steps to negotiate, some steep and narrow. Again, we were fine with it but worth noting. Overall we would highly recommend...

"Owners, caretakers, cleaners were excellent. Very proactive in ensuring our stay was brilliant. Lots of different areas to relax and be alone if desired. Expect occasional insect ingress. That’s a reflection on the hillside location. Fabulous stay. A forest fire in Bordeaux led to smoke in the area. Staff came to visit to warn us and advise us. Thank you."

"This comfortable, well-appointed apartment is within easy walking distance to the cathedral and the historic center of Perigueux. With bedrooms and bathrooms on opposite ends, it would work well for a family or two couples. The apartment is quiet and very secure. We appreciated having a private parking place and direct access to the small park next to the cathedral. The street market in front of the cathedral was a treat. Isabelle was charming and very helpful. We highly recommend this apartment...
