"Overall my 11 year old son and I had a good week in the SOWELL HOTELS Mont Blanc & Spa. The buffet breakfast and dinner were excellent with well-prepared food and plenty of choice. The room was comfortable and the staff very helpful. The main down-side is how worn and dated the room and all of the communal areas are. I'm not sure when it received it's 4* rating, but the property feels quite aged with bathroom furniture, doors and walls all very worn with visible damage."

"Really great friendly staff -rooms small but ok - food was very good. Location quiet but good links to slopes with new cable car link to St Gervais. Couple of decent restaurants in La Fayet but have to go to St Gervais for better choice. Think this little town will grow with new links etc. "

"We were travelling with a group of friends and planned to stop in Chamonix but the inn was full and any available room was ridiculously expensive so we look a little further afield and found this charming hotel with rooms at sensible rates. Easy enough to find with it's own secure car park. Check in was painless and my room was of reasonable size, spotlessly clean with a comfortable bed ensured a good night's sleep. Only a short walk from the hotel to the centre of town and it's railway...

"Lovely hotel and spa - clean, nice rooms, bar and live music on one day we were here… One thing I would mention is that for late arrivals, please help arrange a taxi for guests coming from the train station in addition to providing information about places to eat after 9:30-10pm. We were led to believe by reception there were no restaurants open after 10pm hour but later discovered the entire village with options including take out pizza late night. Looks like a training opportunity for...

"This is a very small hotel, about 30 rooms, right at the foot of the ski slopes, with stunning views all round. Stayed there for a weeks skiing with a friend (the skiing is great there). The staff were all lovely, really helpful, hotel spotless, beautiful lounge and terrace, comfy dining room with log burner, and bar on the end of the hotel. Rooms a bit shabby but I guess they are doing the place up gradually. Very clean and comfortable though, great bed, and plenty of hot water. I stayed in...
