"The photos do not do this property justice. Its a lovely large secluded house in the middle of sunflower fields. The owners live next door and were on hand for anything we might need, but we didn't see or hear them unless we needed to. They were the perfect hosts. It was a great location for our extended family getaway. The pool was perfect and provided good shade for the children. There is a sandpit and a wooden lookout that are not pictured, but were a lovely surprise. The house was spotlessly...

"We had a very relaxing stay and loved the gardens and surrounding area. The house is lovely - the bedroom separated from the house is very hot and was a little dirty but that’s partly because of the bear stone. Communication was very good leading up to the stay - a couple of minor delays with responses when at the property but overall good. We would definitely go back "

More sun loungers and a parasol by the pool would have been great and we found the WiFi upstairs patchy. "Superbly set out gite with lots of living space. Huge grounds with lots of shady areas- perfect to play outside but stay cool for our toddler. Large bedrooms and bathrooms, and all the basic kitchen equipment supplied. The stunning village of Aubeterre is a must and perfect for lunches. Lovely river beaches! Peter and Lesley are warm and welcoming without intruding on our space. Definitely recommend"
