"Excellent place, comfortable, quiet, highyly recommend"

"We loved the property. Although it’s old in a goed way, it was also very clean. We loved the outdoor areas too. You do have to drive a bit to buy your bread but it’s worth it. Details we loved: there was a bottle of good white wine offered to us, if we had a question, like “where can we buy some good wine”, we got their personal list of vineyards and when we ware all admiring the water wheel, the owner took the effort of removing the top cover so we could enjoy the wheel turning. Lovely people! Also, there was firewood waiting in the fireplace, ready to go and there was charcoal available for the bbq. We hope to visit again."

"The staff was extremely concerned with our well being and have offered a very nice commercial gesture to compensate for the lack of hot water in our room. Our room faced the city of Gien and the view was really great. One just have to walk accross a bridge to reach the interesting sidewalk with restaurants on the other side of the Loire. I prefer that view (Castle of Anne de Beaujeu) from the one the hotels on the other side of the rriver would have. Highly recommended hotel."

"This hotel is very convenient for Briare train station with excellent trains into Paris daily. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel grounds are lovely, with lots of parkland and trees."
