"This was our 2nd year at this house and town. We love the spaciousness of the house and Garden. The pool is lovely. The House is very well equipped with all modern applicances. The location is only a 10minute walk into the town and beach promenade. Great town with all you can ask for. Town is very close to La Rochelle - 20minute drive or just a 15 minute train ride from the local train station. Restaurants in the town and beach area are all very good with really nice staff. "The property is located in a quiet residential street near to some local shops and about a mile on foot to the Vieux Port - a lovely tree lined stroll. The house is small but perfect for two people. We only used the ground floor - bedroom, shower, wc, kitchen and a nice sunny sitting room leading out into a small garden. NB Access to the basement accommodation is via very steep stairs. Only practical for the young and nimble! The house is a good base from which to explore the wonderful port town...

"Lovely clean and modern house with all mod cons ( only issue was no towels were provided so had to go out first morning to buy some . Lots of bedding etc but no towels which was a little strange) nicely situated for getting to La Rochelle centre and Il de Re , must have a car . Some local bars, nice one locally done out like anAmerican Diner, and a supermarket , post office etc but bars close in the evenings so to eat out you must go back into La Rochelle centre .easy access for day trips to...

"We travelled as a family of 6 and had a fantastic week in August 23. The property is extremely well refurbished and has a fantastic outdoor space. The location is ideal being a 8 - 10 min walk to the marina and old port where are all the restaurants, bars and main shops are. A quieter retreat to get away from the later night hustle and bustle of the main town. Local shop 2 min walk has all the produce you need for the week if you don’t have a car. Old town market is also fantastic and a must....
