"If a little piece of French countryside is what you are looking for then this is place is for you. We enjoyed our stay though did not utilize the property to its full potential. We used this as a base to visit the caves and tour the surrounding area. Unfortunately we did not have the time to just relax here. Next time. Jacqueline was awesome. We would recommend."

House is within 5 minutes walk of town centre with its markets on Tuesday (highly recommended) and Saturday . Location very good for local sightseeing to villages, caves and other tourist attractions as well as easy access to large supermarkets. House is well furnished and spacious. However, house is on 3 levels with stairs and access to garden is by a spiral...

"A delightful single storey gite hosted by Mike with father Roger closeby offering helpful advice. We shared the large garden with a French cockerel (Monsieur Macron) and his ageing companions (Brigitte and Monsieur Mitterand). Vergt affords a decent supermarket, hotel, and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our week there and it provided a well situated base for trips throughout Dordogne."

Helpful and friendly owners Sandrine and Benoît are on hand if you need anything but unobtrusive when you don't."

"Our extended family loved the house, the pool & the location. When we arrived a few minor queries were quickly and cheerfully dealt with. The only major problem was FINDING the house : the address is insufficient for the sat nav and a clearer description of its exact location would help. Otherwise excellent."

"Belle maison pour séjourner au calme! Les chambres à l’étage communiquent et ne sont pas fermées donc il s’agit plutôt d’un dortoir. La climatisation est seulement à l’étage mais le rez de chaussée reste frais. Idéal pour se balader dans les environs."

"La p'tite bergerie is a beautiful gite, and has everything you need to make your stay homely and comfortable. It is set in an absolutely lovely area, very peaceful and relaxing, but is ideally located to many other towns, villages and sights this part of the Dordogne has to offer. Beatrice and Remy are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much for them, we really felt a friendship has been formed, so much so that we will be returning in December to enjoy their gite at Christmas time...can't wait!...

"Nous avons été enchantés par notre séjour chez Gisèle. La maison est géniale, très bien équipée et très agréable. La terrasse couverte permet de profiter de l’extérieur tout en étant protégé de la pluie et du soleil. La piscine est parfaite avec un grand store pour se protéger du soleil, très appréciable en cas de canicule. Gisèle est une hôte adorable, d’une discrétion absolue mais toujours disponible et à l’écoute. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir!"

"Property absolutely beautiful. We stayed for a month with friends and family. Everything you need for a self catering stay. Well thought out in everyway. Village in walking distance with a bakery and butchers. Market with local produce. Everybody so friendly in the local village. We tried talking some french which went down well! Supermarket 15 miles away with good selection. Lots to see and do around about. Will remember or French Getaway with fond memories."

"We have had a disappointing experience with this vacation rental. All four of us have suffered from bed bugs. We initially thought we were dealing with mosquitoes. But the bites got so big and painful that it wasn't until later that we realized we were dealing with bed bugs. We complained about this to the landlord afterwards and it seemed only reasonable to us that they would refund half as our holiday enjoyment was seriously ruined. We have not received any response from the landlords."
