"We as a family cannot recommend this place enough. It’s on beautiful grounds, the room is so so comfy with amazing shutters to make the room so dark and it’s so peaceful and quiet you will really have the best night sleep. The grounds are so stunning. The home made breakfast every morning is just sensational. And the hosts are fantastic, so welcoming, warm and always happy to help! Extremely family friendly as we brought our 1 year old. Noel and Evelyn are truly the best hosts. Would 100% recommend to anyone ! Thank you so much Noel and Evelyn for fantastic stay"

The property itself was excellent - perfect location, tastefully decorated, well-equipped and very clean. "1. Arrive in the daylight! This is Deep France, so it's a little confusing to find in the dark. 2. Stay in the Chateau part of the house. Our romantic room was BEAUTIFUL and just like the photos. Our -in-laws had a family room, and it was very large! 3. You should reserve for dinner since there isn't much else if you arrive in the evening. We missed it and ended up eating pizza in a parking lot! 4. Breakfast "buffet" was impressive, both the beautiful DR setting and the variety of food. Worth the $. 5. We were there in March, so still early spring, but the pool area and grounds looked very inviting for warmer weather. 6. Excellent treatment at reception for both arrival and departure. 7. Room/beds/AWESOME shower! We would love to return!"

"Everyone was extremely welcoming and attentive. The Chateau looks amazing on arrival and even more so in the evening. It has a fabulous pool area and the views over the surround countryside are stunning. Our room was lovely which also had amazing views. There is parking on site and we had breakfast booked which was good. The village is a stones throw and definitely worth going to visit. "

"The rural setting was perfect - so peaceful - just what we needed. A soaring buzzard and a few tiny lizards in the garden were the only regular visitors 😂!! We loved the house and it was very well equipped, especially in the kitchen with lots of thoughtful touches. The pool is fabulous - a really good size. As it’s not heated, it maybe a tad brisk on cooler days but great as the weather heats up. There were all sorts of games available- including a table tennis table, badminton and a football - all great to keep family entertained on relaxing days by the pool. The upstairs rooms are all beautifully done and very spacious. The large lounge is great for relaxing and watching TV together after a long day out. Downstairs has a more traditional toilet and bathroom and also has a nice updated and spacious bedroom similar to the upstairs ones. Jenny is a lovely host and was very helpful and quick to respond to all my emails. The Welcome pack was very well out together and had a lots of useful info for our stay. We specifically chose the rural location for the tranquility and we were not disappointed. There is beautiful surrounding countryside with sunflower fields and vineyards. Bergerac airport, town and supermarket are all within 20-25mins which is great. Some of the places we wanted to visit (Rocamadour, Padirac caves, Sarlat) were 2-3hrs by car but well worth a visit. Overall, we had a fabulous holiday and would love to go back again as La Roche is a real gem."
