"An elegant, charming and very comfortable home in the lovely countryside near Lanquais. The kitchen, in particular, was very well outfitted. Communication in advance and detailed entry instructions were clear. With a car, there are countless market towns, villages and chateaux to visit, as well as beautiful walks from the property, The pool and the outdoor dining area were wonderful as it got very hot the last days of our stay."

"We are a middle-aged couple seeking a gentler rhythm; an escape from the restless pulse of the city. We could not have chosen more wisely.Just half an hour from Bergerac the car sat nav led us unerringly to the door, as though it knew we needed to be there. And what awaited was something special; a personalised welcome, a beautiful barn, lovingly and thoughtfully transformed, where the past lingers softly in every beam, yet modern comfort is at hand.The kitchen, well appointed, invited us to linger and create our own meals, an important pleasure for us, Beyond the building, the grounds stretch wide and generous, offering pockets of solitude where one can sit with a book, or simply listen to the natural sounds of the countryside.And then the nights; how can I describe them? Coming from a sky dulled by city lights, we had forgotten what darkness can reveal. There, above us, the heavens spilled over with stars, more than we imagined existed. A quiet, glittering spectacle that felt like a gift.The pool, set within a courtyard embraced by stone walls, strikes the perfect balance between sun and shade. Vines and fruit trees encircle it, lending a sense of nostalgia, as though time itself had slowed and softened. A place that soothes and charms in equal measure. The barn, facing east and west offers sunrise to the early riser and sunsets that glow warmly over evening meals al fresco, the perfect companion for foie gras and local wine. Its simply wonderful. Don’t tell everybody"

"What an amazing place! Bettina and Christophe were fantastic hosts who from beginning to the end of our stay ( and prior to!) went above and beyond to accommodate our every request and answer every query that we had. Excellent communication. A babysitter ( who was excellent ) was found so we could attend an evening wedding reception and Christophe drove us himself in the evening so we could enjoy the reception. The accommodation was well equipped with everything we needed and the play “ barn” a great help entertaining the children when it rained. The pool area is lovely and for peace of mind it is alarmed which was good as we had young children with us .. The children enjoyed the various animals on the estate from cats/rabbits/ducks and even goats! We were also lucky enough to see a wild Boar on our drive home from the wedding reception with Christophe! We took advantage of the full fridge service which made the first evening much easier and the bakery delivery to the door in the morning was also a great service. Bettina's welcome guide to the property answers all the day to day queries a visitor might have regarding their stay and is also a comprehensive guide to local facilities and attractions. During the stay I was able to communicate with Bettina through wats app if I had any small queries and nothing was too much trouble for her.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay again .. thank you Bettina and Christophe. "

"We have just returned from staying here, the photos really don't do it justice, it is beautiful and so peaceful. The pool made our holiday and even on a hot day it didn't get too hot in there as you can open all the doors. The kids loved an evening swim with the disco lights on and music. The pool table was a brilliant addition as was the table tennis. Ideally situated for day trips, Bergerac was only 25 mins away. We found we had to pre book tables at local restaurants as they do get very busy. Thierry and Martine were lovely hosts, on hand to contact if you needed them and very quick to respond to any queries but left you to enjoy your holiday in the most beautiful surroundings."
