"We had such a lovely stay at L'Echappee Belle. The rooms are comfy, spacious and clean and the house and grounds are beautiful, with lots of fruit and veg growing throughout the grounds which our hostess Sophie uses for her excellent guest dinners and breakfasts. The swimming pool is wonderful and the house is located in a quiet area close to some lovely villages which are a 10-minute bike ride away. Would gladly come back here, thank you Sophie! (one tip: if guests are needing taxis during their stay, it's good to book in advance, as taxis aren't always available at the drop of a hat because it's a very rural area)."

"The staff was extremely concerned with our well being and have offered a very nice commercial gesture to compensate for the lack of hot water in our room. Our room faced the city of Gien and the view was really great. One just have to walk accross a bridge to reach the interesting sidewalk with restaurants on the other side of the Loire. I prefer that view (Castle of Anne de Beaujeu) from the one the hotels on the other side of the rriver would have. Highly recommended hotel."
