"It is such a lovely little gite. We really enjoyed our stay here. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet the owner as we had a text from her to say she didn't meet us as she couldn't speak English so any queries would be better sent to poplidays. It is an ancient old watermill and the mill race is still there so the sound of running water was an enjoyable extra. "Nous sommes 4 amis (2 femmes, 2 hommes) et nous voulions visiter de petits villages du Perche et de la région de l'Aigle. Le charmant petit village de la Gonfrière offrait une situation idéale. "Only stayed one night, rental was very easy to find in a very remote peaceful location. Travelling with our dog so wanted to be in the countryside. Rental had everything needed, comfy bed and good shower. Didn’t really use kitchen but looked more than fully equipped. It is very remote but that’s what we wanted.."

"Very nice, quiet location near charming small towns and walks in the forests. A house with local character that has been thoughtfully updated. Plenty of space for two couples. Loved the large fireplace and well stocked kitchen. Our host, Thierry, was very accommodating and full of suggestions."

"The house was absolutely beautiful, and ideally situated just a few meteres away from the town square - but very quiet indeed. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at Les Glycines, which is highly recommended. The downstairs space is fairly compact, so while I think it would suit a family with small children it would be a bit of a squeeze for a group of five adults. But overall we loved it; we needed a rest and that's what we had!"
