"We've stayed in many self catering cottages and had a very different experience in this one. On VRBO the gite is advertised as having a lake view, its no where near a lake! After we'd paid for the gite the owner contacted us for €300 cash deposit, and told us about additional electricity charges per day. "We stayed in one of the gites. The surroundings are stunning- distant views across the Herault in a wonderfully renovated building. Autumn chestnuts all around and calm surrounds. About 15 mins drive from pretty Olargues. Le Chene backs on to another gite and when this was occupied, we could hear everything they were doing. Petit point ce pendant à améliorer ,des portes manteau dans la salle de bain seraient les bienvenus et la cour extérieur aurait mérité un bon coup de débroussaillage .Pas non plus de séchoir à linge portable dans la maison.
