"We recently stayed at this lovely home in Jamberoo and overall had an enjoyable time. The house itself is beautifully set in a peaceful and scenic location, and it was well-equipped for a comfortable stay. It’s also conveniently located near Kiama and Gerringong, which made for some great day trips.That said, there were some issues that affected our experience. When we originally booked 3 months prior, the listing advertised that the house could sleep 22 guests. A week before our stay, we found out that it only accommodated 16 - the host did not inform us, I just happen to look at the listing again when paying. This caused a bit of last-minute stress as we had 20 guests. We had to make do with sofa beds, lounges, and pull-outs, and bring some of our own bedding. Thankfully, there were enough towels for everyone.We were also surprised to arrive and find the house unlocked and the garage open- perhaps normal for a quiet area like Jamberoo?During our stay, we received a complaint accusing us of setting off fireworks and making excessive noise, which was disappointing as we had turned the music down by 10pm and were all in bed by midnight. With 20 people talking in the living room, some level of noise should be expected.All in all, the home and location were great, and we would consider booking the house again. However, the last-minute changes and communication issues with the host would make us hesitant to book with them specifically in the future."

"Lyrebird House was gorgeous! The photos are true to life, giving an accurate impression of the property. It was a short drive off the highway (approx 15 mins)and very easy to locate. Once we had checked in, we felt we were a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The property contained everything we needed for a weekend escape and the off-grid nature did not in any way inhibit our stay. I loved the stylish decor with lots of subtle decorator touches that made it feel luxurious and homey. Also, spotlessly clean!The large deck was a great spot to sit with a morning coffee or late afternoon drink. The area offers lots of places to visit within a short drive - we especially enjoyed exploring Berry (approx 15 mins away) with its boutique shops and fabulous restaurants. Thank you to the hosts. We loved our stay at Lyrebird House and will definitely be back!! "

"Everything was just perfect! Waking up to the Misty views and having a cuppa on the front porch was just magical. The bottle of local wine and freshly baked bread was a generous touch. We will certainly be back! "

"Great house over 4 stories (there are lots of stairs with the living area being 4 stories below where you enter). Was perfect for our family Easter break. The kitchen is great but is very poorly equiped - if you are planning to do much cooking I suggest that you bring most things that you need (eg., only 4 dinner plates, some chipped smaller plates, 4 wine glasses etc. Were only 2 water glasses but the cleaner picked up some more from Woolies for us), No salad bowls, med - large serving dishes etc.Garden very overgrown so house and balcony really the areas that you would use. The furniture is much more worn and stained than the photos suggest but that being said, it did the trick for us for the long weekend. One pillow per person (a few extra but no pillowcases) - suggest bringing extras if would like a 2nd pillow. Was lovely to be able to bring our (non shedding) dog. We would stay again but come better prepared."
