Summary:
Our home is minutes away from it all! The famous Gunther's Ice Cream shop is just around the corner, and you can stroll to Pangaea Bier Cafe and Hop Gardens. Or jump in the car for more local shops, eateries, breweries, the Golden 1 Center, Sacramento State University, major highways, and bustling midtown; the UC Davis Med Center is less than a mile away, too.
It's perfect for pup owners since the Sierra 2 Dog Park and playground on the Sierra Green is a few minutes away in the neighborhood.
The Space:
This is a century-old bungalow with a cozy and relaxed vibe. It has a cute backyard and patio that is fenced in for furry friends. We've filled it with local art to help you feel like a part of the place. Enjoy the new 50 inch tv, super fast internet and comfy pillow top beds.
Our goal is that each guest has a great lodging experience. We hope that part of this is achieved through the unique, homey, and comfy space we’ve worked hard to create!
The Neighborhood:
Curtis Park is an established, safe and quiet neighborhood. The residents are easy going. The house itself is about a 5 minute drive from the always fun broadway triangle (in Oak Park); an area with great shops, breweries, and an awesome bookstore. We love the Plant Foundry (nursery and garden) and think you might, too.
Also close by is one of the city’s famed ice cream spots- Gunthers. They’ve got quite a few delicious options - get there earlier to beat the lines. Just down the street is Curtis park. It’s full of gorgeous trees, green grass and the perfect walking path.
Getting Around:
If you get the chance, try the city's newest form of transit - electric scooter sharing! Electric scooters are becoming more and more popular in the area and are a really fun way to get around. Of course Uber and Lyft are readily available, too.
Public transportation runs up and down the main cross street (Broadway); although we’re not the best with navigating the routes. Midtown is a 4 minute car ride away.
If you have a car, please park right in front of the house on the street or in the driveway.
Other Things to Note:
Our neighbor has a dog as well. Occasionally she barks upon entering the backyard, but will stop shortly thereafter.
Please note that the owner has a strong allergy sensitivity to cats. We are not able to host cats in the home.
NOTE: We do NOT HAVE cable services. We offer streaming services such as Netflix, Roku, Prime, & Hulu. (Guest has to use their own Netflix account)
