"Stayed two nights to watch the 2024 eclipse and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pool area with the chaise lounges was perfect for viewing and the river was a nearby alternative. We spent most of our time at the patio table watching the deer and relaxing. The kitchen was well-appointed and we cooked dinner both nights we were there. The bathrooms were clean and the shower had great water pressure. The only negative was the unreliable wifi. Two of our party had to find other accommodations...

"Ash Creek Hideaway is a country cabin with classic southern front porch appeal and amazing wildlife but just minutes from Leaky with town convenience. The house is cute with three bedrooms, a cozy living area, a family sized table, and a well stocked kitchen. Situated just off 336, it a great entry point for any of the Sister rides. Or just sit on the porch or around the fire pit and enjoy the hummingbirds, deer, turkey, bird and squirrels. Highly recommend!"

"This house is amazing! The design is ideal - every room has a bathroom. The kitchen, living, and dining area was large and really family friendly. My kids favorite part was the large pool and outdoor kitchen area which included a TV. In the mornings, you could sit outside with your coffee and watch deer and other wildlife. Also… the mattresses were amazing!"

"Quiet, comfortable and unique building. The kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked, for everything else Hondo has what you need - from Walmart to local restaurants (+ San Antonio isn’t far away). The pool and patio were the perfect size to cool off at the end of a warm summer day. The property managers meant what they said, “call if you need anything”. Thank you for making our first VRBO rental a wonderful and unique stay."

"We had 4 couples and 4 kids, and booked almost 2 years in advance for the eclipse. The Rusty Rio is quaint and what it appears to be....a fun and "campy" spot. The only gripe we had was that when we booked, we filtered rentals that had hot tubs, and hot tub was listed as an amenity. It didn't work, and likely hasn't for many years. "The hosts were friendly and responsive from the very beginning (almost two years ago). The place was very comfortable, with plenty of space both inside and out to socialize or take some quiet time to yourself. We were not there during tubing season, but we got to enjoy walks, restaurants, local shopping. I would highly recommend Hummingbird to anyone looking for a place in Concan."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Tarpley. The house was adorable and had everything we needed. The pool was amazing and we could have spent a whole day just floating in the pool.
