"Overall great hotel but for a vegetarian who doesn't like a spicy breakfast limited although no problem leaving things off. Anything on toast had to be taken off toast so butter could be added once warm enough to spread by which time egg (which always had runny whites) were getting cold!"

"We stayed in Chequers in Rye for my son’s wedding at Rye Town Hall. The location was perfect, just along the road. The house is beautiful and has everything you could want. This has very happy memories for us all"

"The staff were friendly. The cottage we stayed in was clean and the bed comfortable. We had a good breakfast and enjoyed a roast dinner at the Restaurant. It is an easy drive to Camber sands beach and is within a reasonable distance from the town centre. We could easily walk to the town. Great place to stay in Rye."

"Mermaid cottage is very quaint - right on Mermaid Street in the heart of Rye. We loved it. the beds were very comfortable and we had everything we needed. We had a very smooth stay with excellent directions from Claire. We parked in the Market car park by the train station which was within an easy 5 min walk of the cottage. We will be back."

"Lovely welcome upon arriving, nice bedroom with all the amenities, did not have dinner but had a lovely breakfast with friendly service, the only thing that I was disappointed in was the toilets in the bar area where the cubicle didn't have a lock and it wasn't exactly clean in there, all in all would recommend a stay as good location for everything including train station and nice and quiet at night."

"Clean room. Very helpful staff. In the middle of all activities. Could not find hairdryer in the room. I thought that parking was available but it’s parking on the road and only two hours during the day but plentiful car parks nearby. Super ice cream shop attached to property."
