"We like staying at the Oxbow, great location right downtown , we can walk to Revival Records and the CourtN House. Rooms are large and clean, good water pressure in shower. Was a bit noisier than usual ( we were in room # 1)"

"The house was great! It was really nice for our adult children and parents to all have their own bathroom. There was plenty of towels, blankets, etc. The kitchen was very well stocked with all types of cooking utensils, dishes, and pans. The seasonings in the cabinet were a very nice touch. The only thing that was a bit of a downer for us was the game room. It needs some TLC - the ping pong table got used (paddles were beat up), foosball was missing a guy on one of the teams so it was hard to play, pool table sides were beat, and the video game didn't work at all."

I’m so thankful places like this exist and are being preserved and cared for by people who are passionate about history and story telling. Stephanie also prepared the most delicious breakfast for us despite my gluten sensitivity. I was so appreciative! I can’t wait to stay again (and hope to arrive earlier this time ;) )."

"Our time at Menomonie was terrific. The house is extremely spacious and has fantastic views of the lake. The kids spent hours in the yard playing soccer, baseball, and volleyball. The downstairs provided more fun with the ping pong table and pool table. Everyone had their space and we had many options for entertainment. The walk down the long stairway is very safe and in great condition. It was nice to sit by a fire and enjoy a nice conversation with s’mores by the firepit. The grill room and porch was also a nice area to play some cards and have a few beverages.The fishermen in our group spent hours at our pier and on the boat. They had more success at the pier. It was a weird week for fishing with the high temps from previous weeks with the algae buildup, but the boat was still used and we did explore the lake a bit. Our group enjoyed a bit of everything at this house. There was plenty to do and the local golf club even blocked a few hours for ten of us to play a scramble with the kids. The town of Menomonie is very nice and people are very friendly. We had a great week celebrating our parents’ 50th anniversary and spending time together in a very nice home that accommodated everyone."

"Was awesome vacation for my wife, myself, and our dog. Quiet place, and super relaxing. Our dog loved the little balcony off the kitchen. Would definitely come back. The pictures listed don't do it justice."

"The house is beautiful and the host was fantastic! Excellent communication throughout the stay. The house had everything we needed plus some! We went into it fully aware of the steep walk to the lake. They are in the process of adding stairs, which will be a bonus. The only downside was that we were unable to swim in the lake because of blue green algae. Not an issue with the house but do not book in the hot summer months hoping to swim."
