Location

Nice functional hotel 15 minutes from the main town. It has basic food but you can walk to other good food. Yiu can get there by bus but in general touring the island is way more convenient with a car.

It is a decent, clean hotel at a convenient location. It's a good base for exploring the surrounding area. The rooms were pretty standard and clean. Our room was at the front and that was rather noisy, because it is located on a fairly busy road. The people at the front desk and at the breakfast service were very friendly and helpful.

Runavik is a small town of a couple of thousand people and this was definitely the best place to stay in town. It was modern, clean with good sizes rooms. But it was also limited - the restaurant only served sandwiches and burgers in the evening ( but the breakfast was excellent) and the TV only had a few channels, all in Danish. But it was well located, just yards from the tunnel entrance, was a short walks from a beautiful lake and had plentiful free car parking.

Me and my friend enjoyed our stay here, and would easily chose this hotel again for a second visit to Faroe. Conveniently located in the middle of the archipelago, in a town with at least a few dining options. Good parking opportunities (also a nearby overflow parking lot when it’s full in front of the hotel). The breakfast was good and the staff was excellent. Always friendly and helpful with whatever question we had.

The windows were soundproof, and the breakfast buffet was quickly replenished when items were out of stock. Everything was fresh and delicious, and there was plenty of time (7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.). Conveniently located, with a bus stop nearby, as well as shops and restaurants. The hotel brochure featured several restaurants and their menus. A small refrigerator for drinks and a coffee machine for pads were present in the room. A view of the harbor and moutains

Not recommended stay this hotel

Room and bathroom smelled very bad when you just get in. Also when I checked out staff tried to charged me one more time for the room stay amount, but there are good food in Hotel restaurant.

The room is very small in this hotel. There is no air conditioning in this hotel. Therefore, guests have to open the windows all night long during summertime. You may hear chickens being killed after midnight if your room is located behind the hotel.

De som jobbet på hotellet var vennlige og behjelpelige. Hotellrommet var koselig og det var gode senger. Hotellets restaurant hadde enkel, god og rimelig mat. Hotellet ligger fint til i Runavik og området er stille og fredelig.

Upersonlig og meget lidt imødekommende personale. Der manglede adgang til te og kaffe, ærgerligt der ikke var en lille el koger eller lign på værelset. Dejligt der var mulighed for, at spise aftensmad på stedet, da vores ophold lå under Ólavsøka. Dog var maden meget dyr og virkelig ringe, vi fik fish and chips og en kyllingesalat. Fisken var over friteret det samme med pomfritterne. Salaten var den der var fra morgenbuffet (køleskabs kedelig og slatten), det virkede til, at der blot var lagt nogle friturede stykker kylling på. Svimlende dyrt!!! Et meget dyrt ophold. Not value for money.
