"Property is in a great location and close to Warwick castle. Unfortunately the room was very dirty with dust and cobwebs all around the room. Some items in the kitchen were dirty and had not been cleaned. Pool was warm and the facilities were good."

"Lovely clean hotel conveniently located for the NEC and train station. Large firm bed. Comfy pillows. Air conditioning was great. Ironing board in room. Generally peaceful stay- only downside was some doors weren't soft closing."

"Pretty functional airport hotel. I’d say Hilton but stripped back. I didn’t have any mineral water left in my room which I would think was pretty standard for this level of hotel. It felt pretty basic. Bed was hard but I don’t really mind that. Staff were very professional. Bar staff engaging and welcoming but overall the hotel felt pretty soulless. Functional for a one night stay before an early flight but lacking in comforts, like slippers, a bath robe and the little extras that make you smile. Very clean though their choice of corridor carpets look like they’re dirty when they’re not."

"This is a fabulous hotel in all aspects but I must mention the excellent breakfast in particular. So much choice and delicious. Modern environment with lots of space and high quality furnishings. Individual rooms are original and fully equipped. Our new favourite in Leicester. Good price too. Love it. Staff are really nice and friendly."

Genting Hotel & Spa at Resorts World Birmingham

"The Genting was always a favourite stopover when traveling through England as it breaks up the trip from London to Yorkshire. The hotel is still quite nice compared to others in the area but doesn’t seem to have been maintained to the high standards it once was. The spa experience was still great, however the outdoor spa was not working and I had to share the pool experience with the cleaning crew at 7am. The building that it shares has some challenges with managing the smell from the bins and as such the hotel had to pump quite a bit of perfume into the air of the lobby to mask the smell."

"Excellent attentive staff in the bar/restaurant made sure everyone was served during a busy time at a convention. Room was comfortable and clean of outdated. Plenty of plugs, no USBs. Great location for NEC and Resorts World."

"We stayed here for a couple of nights while my partner visited the convention at the nec. We had lovely weather but unfortunately the hotel is quite dated and has no air conditioning in the rooms. Some hotels that don’t have air conditioning do put fans/heaters in the rooms but no fans were provided during the hot weather at this hotel. We also found the air vent in our bathroom had not been cleaned in some time as it was thick with dust and so stopping the vent from working making the vent useless. This is a handy hotel for the nec only about a 15 minute walk away and the lady on reception when we checked out was very friendly. But be warned it is a dated hotel. "
