"Our company has used this hotel at least 15 times over the past 18 months and have never had cause to complain, however, during the latest stay, it sounded as though an all night party was going on upstairs with smoke alarms constantly ringing and noise so loud it sounded like a raid! Our team members are located here ready for training courses in the morning so they are bright and fresh. This latest stay did not offer this at all. He didn't get to sleep until 04.30am. When my colleague brought this to the attention of the manager, they were not very helpful, understanding or apologetic. Sadly this will now make us think twice about using this provider in the future. "

"My family and I had a really lovely stay here. We were a group of three adults, three children and a dog and the cottage provided ample space for all of us during our two night stay. The cottage was nicely decorated and furniture was comfortable and good quality. Everything was clean and well maintained and my nephews particularly enjoyed the stocked cupboards of board games! We really appreciated the high chair, children's dinnerware and toys too for our 18 month old niece staying here. The kids also enjoyed the short stroll to McDonald's for breakfast and the dog was very happy with the field down the road! We visited Sherwood Forest, Sherwood Pines and Rufford Abbey all within a 10 minute drive. We all really enjoyed our stay here and would happily be back. We actually had to coax our dog out of the cottage when it was time to leave, he didn't want to go at all! Only minor problem was we were sent two different codes to the gates to get in. We didn't realise this at first and the first code we tried contained in an email from Vrbo was incorrect and didn't work causing a slight panic when we arrived. Luckily, we did eventually get enough signal to get online and find the correct code. "

"In peaceful countryside. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and kind, made us feel very welcome. Beautiful rooms that were really spacious and spotlessly clean. Delicious breakfast cooked to order. Having the pool made our stay extra special. If I’m In the area again would definitely choose to stay here"

"Very nice cottage, clean, warm and comfortable. Well equipped, has Sky TV package, and a dishwasher ideal for a relaxing break. Unfortunately very close to the road which is noisy, however this makes an ideal location to travel from, and the pub is just across the road. Sherwood Forest and The Major Oak is within walking distance. Two car parking spaces outside the house. A lot to recommend this cottage."

"Superb accommodation, everything you could possibly need for a relaxing break. All the rooms are large and very nicely furnished, quality fixtures and fittings throughout. Plus an amazing log burner! Easy access to Rufford Abbey and the Rose Cottage pub/restaurant is close by for meals. Best accommodation we have ever stayed in!"
