Superplek om volledig tot rust te komen. Eigenlijk hoef je nergens meer heen. Dat kan natuurlijk wel, toeristische trekpleisters als Rocamadour en Figeac zijn op een steenworpafstand. Voor de boodschappen is Gramat het dichtste bij. Het huis zelf is van alle gemakken voorzien, tot een vaatwasser en wasmachine aan toe! Pingpongtafel, badmintonnet, mountainbikes en het zwembad waren voor ons perfect. Tienerzoon heeft er dankbaar gebruik van gemaakt. De combinatie van alles wat je buiten kan doen én goed werkend internet is ook heel fijn! Dat de deur open is als je aankomt voelt welkom en gastvrij. De dame die ons welkom heette en ook uitzwaaide was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Weggetjes naar het huis zijn wel spannend. Kom je een tegenligger tegen, dan moet één van tweeën achteruit. Dat heeft als voordeel dat er niet veel verkeer is! Al met al is dit vakantieadres zeker aan te raden voor iedereen die van rust houdt.

Heel vriendelijke ontvangst van de huiseigenaars. Het vakantiehuis is heel gezellig en goed onderhouden. Ook de tuin en het zwembad was goed onderhouden. Leuke tuin voor de kindjes en ook veilig dat het zwembad volledig omheind is. Schommel, glijbaan, voetbalgoal, badmintonnet, tafeltennis is allemaal aanwezig. Het huis is heel rustig gelegen midden in de natuur langs een grindwegje, het is er zalig vertoeven.

This is a lovely historical farmhouse which has been perfectly restored (I think in 2010). It is situated in a very quiet environment where you hear no traffic whatsoever (at most 1 car per day passes the house); you hear only owls, doves, cows and sometimes a chicken or rooster. It has a fantastic large garden for lounging and suitable for many kinds of activities (like pétanque, badminton, football, volleyball, and for the younger children there is a double swing and a slide) and an awesome private pool of 4x8 meters (1m deep at the shallow end and 1.50 at the deep end) that is just perfect for both playing and swimming. Would highly recommend this holiday home to any family with children or teenagers of any age. Our only minor point of critique is that some the beds weren’t very comfortable; the two single beds had quite hard matrasses, but in comparison with all the good points that is really not such a big deal. To whomever reads this and decides to book it: I hope and expect you will love it as much as we did.

Prachtig huis. Inderdaad in erg afgelegen gebied, maar met de ontvangen gps coordinaten reden we er in 1 keer heen! Het huis was prachtig, lijkt me klein voor 6 personen, met mooi weer leef je buiten, dus dan zal het kunnen, maar wij waren er eind april met regen, dan zit je denk ik krap met z’n zessen. Het huis was erg schoon, keurig verzorgd, bedden netjes opgemaakt, alles was erg goed in orde. Landelijke huisjes zijn soms wat rommelig, maar deze was echt top. Boodschappen op 20 minuten in Gramat, de bakker in het dorp dichtbij is zo te zien voor altijd dicht. Wandelen kan overal, er staan ook 4 mountainbikes en 1 gewone fiets met kinderzitje klaar. Voor de kids heb ik een babybed, badje en kinderstoel gezien. Gouffre de Padirac is een must, heel mooi, maar kies een rustige dag uit. Hele omgeving is mooi, Cahors ook goed te berijden. Geen overlast van honden, wij konden gewoon uitslapen. Al met al een prima vakantie!

bij aankomst werden we hartelijk ontvangen. eigenaar spreekt alleen de franse taal maar daar kwamen we wel uit. de accomodate is uitermate geschikt voor een familie met kinderen die graag willen spelen of willen zwemmen in het zwembad. voor mensen die van rust en natuur houden is het een perfecte accommodatie. hoewel wordt aangegeven dat de accommodatie geschikt is voor meer dan 6 personen blijkt het toch allemaal wat krap. er zijn fietsen (mountainbikes) aanwezig voor lieghebbeers van het ontdekken van de omgeving op de fiets. boodschappen en/of een boulangerie/patisserie is toch redelijk (7 km) ver weg maar de mensen aldaar zijn uiterst vriendelijk. hou je van rust is dit een perfectie locatie!!

Woonkamer klein voor 6 personen en weinig lichtinval. Afwasmachine was een hele week kapot. Er zat ook een rat op de balken van het plafond in de living, die ons 2 minuten bleef aankijken. Er was weinig tot geen reactie bij de eigenaar toen we dit meldden. Hopelijk is hier ondertussen iets aan gedaan want dat gaf ons, alles behalve rustgevend gevoel. Wel leuke omgeving voor de kinderen buiten. 2 leuke kamers boven en propere badkamer. Fijn dat er een wasmachine was.

Prachtig uitzicht, zeer rustige locatie. Alles was aanwezig enkel geen centrale verwarming voor koudere dagen. Er is wel een houtkachel voorzien. We werden zeer hartelijk ontvangen en konden steeds met onze vragen terecht bij de eigenaar.

Na wat zoeken waar we de sleutel moesten afhalen, werden we heel vriendelijk onthaald. We kregen een korte rondleiding in het huisje en ook wat uitleg over de omgeving (winkels ed). Het huisje is ideaal als je op zoek bent naar een rustige vakantie. Het ligt afgelegen waardoor je volledig tot rust komt. Het zwembad, de pingpongtafel en de grote tuin zijn ideaal voor de kinderen. Zij hebben echt genoten. We hebben ook een aantal uitstappen gemaakt die zeker de moeite waard zijn het apenpark, de dierentuin in Gramat, de grotten van Padirac, het kasteel van Castelnau, de grotten van Lacave. Let wel op dat je voor de grotten van Padirac best (een aantal dagen) op voorhand via internet reserveert. Achter de grotten van Padirac ligt er ook een insectententoonstelling. Deze is niet al te groot maar voor kinderen interessant en de Engelse eigenaars ontvangen jullie met open armen. Het huisje zelf is heel authentiek en gezellig om te verblijven. Een tip bij warm weer kan je de luikjes dichtmaken opdat de warmte buiten blijft. Mountainbikes zijn voorzien. Met een 'gewone' fiets is het minder aangewezen omdat de hellingen vrij steil zijn en de baantjes in de directe omgeving veldweggetjes zijn. Regelmatig kwam de 'buurman' langs voor het onderhoud van het zwembad. Bij vragen of problemen kan je ook bij hen terecht. Wij zijn jammer genoeg het bedhekje van onze oudste zoon vergeten terug mee te brengen naar huis. We hebben toen contact opgenomen met de eigenaars en ze zijn samen met ons op zoek naar een oplossing hoe we dit bedhekje terug kunnen krijgen. Een echte aanrader als je de buurt daar wil ontdekken of gewoon een rustig huisje met zwembad zoekt.

Helaas klopten de routebeschrijvingen (en aangegeven posities op Google Maps) niet dus het was even zoeken. Alhoewel niet afgeschermd heeft deze gite door de afgelegen ligging aan een zandweg wel de nodige natuurlijke privacy. Compleet ingericht vakantiehuis met ruime tuin en mooi zwembad. Wel een donkere (en daardoor wat sombere) woonkamer. Irritant veel vliegen. Kan tijdelijk zijn maar kan ook te maken hebben met de aanwezigheid van de koeien aan de andere kant van het tuinhek. Om hier binnen niet veel hinder van te ondervinden moesten ramen en deuren zo veel mogelijk gesloten blijven. Zonder vliegen èn met mooi weer een goede locatie voor een rustige en ontspannen vakantie.

The house was old but clean. Very friendly host. + The yard was beautiful! Lovely and clean swimming pool. Outside there is a lot of place to sit and things to do (Ping pong, badminton, soccer, mountainbikes). Good amenities (washing machine, dish washer, oven and bath). Very quiet and private surroundings, just that we needed. - table outside was broken, some things are very old and need to be replaced (shower, sunshade umbrella, ...), very small double beds. At times a lot of ants and flies. Not a lot of space inside for six persons. Tips: a toilet roll holder in both toilets, new table outside, fly screen at the front door.

Pas d éclairage extérieur, on ne peut pas profiter du jardin ni de la piscine en soirée. Obligés de rentrer à la nuit tombante, mais avec un téléviseur vintage, pas de possibilité de voir un film correct. Sinon cadre agréable et calme.
