"Stop over on the way back to Bilbao. Beautiful area, hotel is a little tricky to find its up a dead end mountain road in a small hamlet but stunning views, not ideal for young children but i new this before booking with our toddler, they had a travel cot available and heated his food for him so we where very happy, they have 2 dogs at the hotel so if you don't like dogs its probably not for you. "We stayed in this hotel 10 years ago and it was incredible. We were concerned it had changed hands. At first we were disappointed. We were charged 10 euros per night to park our car!! The check in process was confusing as the only way we could contact the staff was by whatsapp. We warmed to the hotel - the breakfasts were excellent and the dinner very good"

"Fantastic views over the beach to the palace. I could have sat on the balcony all day and never tired of the view. The infinity pool has a similarly nice outlook. The breakfast offered a good choice and quality. All the staff were friendly and efficient. No negatives whatsoever."
