"I stayed at this lovely place 7 years ago and this time round it was even more special, I mentioned that we were celebrating our anniversary and they had a lovely vase of roses in the room waiting for us. The room was clean and cosy, breakfast was delicious and the area is very close to the west lake but very quiet and calm, the hotel staff was so lovely too (shout out to Pan Pan). "Best feature of this property are the grounds outside the building itself. Take a tour around the backyard gardens. Rooms themselves are dated with small washrooms. You’re in the middle of a tourist zone so getting to and from the hotel requires your patience as long lines of caps string ahead of you in a slow crawl. Don’t get caught out ordering coffee from the breakfast restaurant in the morning. We were charged $10 for each coffee."
