"Very nice stay. The rooms are good andbeds are comfortable , shared kitchen very nice. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Definitely recomend "
"A stale kitchen smell hung around the reception and permeated the building. No lights were on and it was like entering a dark cave. I normally like quaint old hotels but this was just down at heel and dispiriting. The photographer must be very clever as the reality was dismal. The sauna was an extra 55 Euros so we didnt use it and didn't eat there as the stale smell was so unappetising. We would not have stayed except that we had booked and paid in advance."
"Lovely hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Room was lovely with fantastic shower! Beds comfortable too. Lovely food in restaurant and great breakfast. Would recommend! :-)"
"We had to wait 2 hours for the hotel to open and the restaurant was closed on the night we were there.
The owner was helpful in booking a restaurant meal for us locally. Our room was a good size, quiet and comfortable bed. Breakfast was adequate French fare."
"Horrendous experience! Host should be struck off your listings. The first thing he said to us was ‘hotel finished’, meaning we weren’t welcome. We assumed it was because we didn’t check in within the hour timeframe given, even though we rung the host to explain beforehand. Room filthy and a very cheap bed with 2 thin matteresses/long cushions on it!! We were woken up at 2.20am by the sound of scratching or gnawing- presumably by a rat or a loire rodent within the cavity wall!! Also the host was...

"What a lovely place to stay! We were half working in the area but enjoyed the stay end of afternoon and evening. Beautiful trees and park, nice for the kid to see Potter and the hens… and to have freshness in the pool! Sylvia and Virgile were amazing, thinking on little things for us. Highly recommended! "
'SERENDIPITY' Charming 2-bedroom cottage in lovely Domfront en Poiraie with WiFi
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful stay at Serendipity in southwest Normandy. The house was absolutely spotless, beautifully decorated, and full of character. The peaceful gardens were a delight to wake up to and made for a relaxing place to unwind after sightseeing. The location couldn’t have been better—within easy reach of Mont St Michel, the Normandy beaches, and historic Bayeux. Domfront, the nearest town, had everything we needed including a supermarket and a cafe right in the middle of town overlooking the medieval city walls. Don’t miss a visit to the nearby village of Lonlay-l’Abbaye—both picturesque and home to the delightful Biscuiterie de L’Abbaye, where we stocked up on treats.Mike and Lyn were exceptional hosts, greeting us warmly with local cider and fresh milk for that much-needed cup of tea after our drive from Paris. Their hospitality truly made the stay even more special.Highly recommended—we would return in a heartbeat!"
"Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was very helpful. They do have food available but mostly microwave meals or frozen pizza.... but if you get in on a Sunday and almost nothing else in town is open, it is nice to have something so conveniently located."
