The owner and family members were very friendly and provided great service. Our room was very clean, large and comfortable. The breakfasts were amazing, featuring simple and tasty local foods. "Awful experience. I booked this hotel based on the reviews, but I was completely misled. I ended up paying €150 for parking for less than three days because the staff were unable to help with parking at the hotel, despite parking being listed as one of the booking features. There was no daily water replenishment — only two tiny 200ml bottles provided for the entire stay. The breakfast was disappointing, and honestly, the price I paid did not reflect the experience that was advertised at all. I have stayed in many hotels, but this was by far the worst 4-star hotel I have experienced. I would never recommend it, nor would I ever return. The room was cold even with the heating turned on, and the hot water in the shower was temperamental. I booked the executive suite, but there was nothing “executive” about it. The carpet was visibly dirty, and the TV remote was filthy. The only positive part of the experience was that the staff were friendly and respectful, even though they were unable to resolve the issues during my stay."

"Location is good, close to Markthal, shopping street. Staff is helpful. Hotel is old and needs restoration like scratch marks on window pane and the rubber caulking is peeling off. Don't know what happened that Friday night. It seems cars were racing against each other. There were honking, backfiring, people shouting, yelling and went on till about 2am."

"** READ & AVOID THIS HOTEL ** We have stayed there many times but now never again. Definitely not a 4 star hotel! The disgusting lack of cleanliness in the room was our main issues. We went to sleep in the bed, we noticed there was no sheet, when we pulled back the fitted sheet it was stained! There was approximately 6 or 7 different stains on the sheet! We complained they sent up cleaning staff & she went to put the new fitted sheet on it also was also stained. Nobody is bothering to check if the sheets are actually getting cleaned or if what they’re putting on your bed. The staff was nice & changed our room but in the next room we noticed on the headboard, a random clip & used tissues. When we went to use the body wash in the shower, there was nothing & for 3 days no one bothered to check or refill it. The sink was also clogged & smelled, when we complained. They asked if the plug was pushed down we told them no & it smelled awful & there’s an obvious clog that wouldn’t allow the water to drain. When they went to fix it, they just pulled the plug up a little bit more It still was clogged & still stunk they really did nothing. We also went to the breakfast buffet in the restaurant at 10:45 AM. They happily took our almost €50and sat us down. We got our first little bit of food and started to eat & they told us the buffet was closing in 5 minutes.. they should have told us before taking our money & let us choose if we want to go or not. I would avoid this hotel!"

"The hotel staff were excellent, as there was no elevator, the lady at reception took our luggage to the room. The staff were very friendly. The room was small but the bed was comfortable but difficult for older people like us, 71 and 69 to get in and out of. Excellent location close to the central train station."

"The rooms are clean and compfortable. The gym is A+. I would say the main issue is the staff is a bit meh and the chairs in the main area are very uncomfotable. The hotel values form over function in the main shared area which is shiek but not best if your goal is laptop grinding. If you are traveling for work and don't care about having a gym, I think Hoteel M is superior for business travel."
