Our room had dirty stains on the wall above the couch. We were left no sheets or blankets for the pull out couch. We had stayed previously and it was great. Our stay this time was less than average. We wont be back.

Nice and quiet

Nice hotel with pool. Quiet and with jacuzzi in the room. A few restaurants close by, but take the 5 min drive / 15 min walk to the city center for a better selection.

Not worth the money spent

Check in process was efficient and front desk staff was lovely. however room itself was in poor condition- had an awful smell, dirty towel left on the bathroom floor (presumably hadn't completed cleaning yet?), not enough towels for the three guests we had booked for. Could have been better.

Family Stay

Best Fish and Chips at Oppies was a block away. Overall average stay. Tamaki maori village has pickup from Emerald spa and was one of the best things we did in New Zealand.

Emerald Spa

Reception staff were friendly and helpful. They readily supplied me with a map of Rotorua when I asked for one. The room was clean and tidy. Sky TV had access to most channels. The motel is only a short drive (5 minutes) from the city, so it is close, as are the Polynesian Spa Baths which i intended to visit.

Hôtel bénéficiant d’un emplacement très pratique, à une quinzaine de minutes à pied des sites géothermiques. Accueil très agréable et efficace. Nous avons aussi beaucoup apprécié la baignoire à remous ! Petit bémol sur la propreté de la chambre, qui ne nous a cependant pas empêché de profiter de son confort.

It was our first trip to Rotorua so we were really excited. The motel was in a good location so easy commute to all Rotorua attractions. We booked Emerald spa motor inn for the personal Jacuzzi but it was not satisfactory. Also the bedside lamps were not working and the aircon was too noisy.

OK stay but our room location was awful

Room was close to the road so it was not quiet. There was maintenance work going on and the workers left scaffolding laying on the walkway just outside our door. We had to step over it to get out of the room. The toilet was located way too close to the wall. Room was a bit cramped but OK. Sufficient parking. Short drive to downtown. Friendly, helpful staff.

Rooms are looking really tired with the showers looking a bit dirty. Cups had not been cleaned properly and still dirty from previous guest. Used to be a great place to stay however seems to have different owners. Asked if the pool was open and told to take the cover back ourselves - not very inviting for guests and also covered in leaves.

We happen to be here during Good Friday and did not have cleaning service during our stay. The jacuzzi was wonderful after a day of walking around. But the rooms are a bit odd as the door and wall facing the courtyard is all glass so everyone can see in everyone else's rooms unless you keep your curtain close throughout.
