"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Gioiosa over the New Year. The house is spacious and modern with every comfort you can think of - the owners have thought of everything. Excellent open plan living and separate area for bedrooms. The villa is perfect for families with plenty of activities on site and in the surrounding area. "We rented this property for 6 nights. Although the views were magnificent, it was apparent when we arrived that the property is not being properly maintained. The pool was filthy and green and we had to wait a full day to use it so someone could come clean it. The lawn was overgrown, causing many bugs to be around the house and pool. We took matters into our own hands and sprayed and removed wasp nests and trimmed the bushes so our kids would not scratch themselves walking up the stone steps....

I'm a very clean and organised person and can always find fault with the cleaning in holiday homes in the UK, however, I could not find fault with this holiday home, it was spotlessly clean, a credit to the owner! "The villa is beautiful and the views fromthe property are outstanding. The villa was very clean. We just had a few small scorpions but that is to be expected in that area. Be aware there is no A/C in the two guest bedrooms but if you leave the doors open they will stay cool. The town of Colico about 5 mins away is really cute with wonderful restaurants by the water. The property has a washing machine which was great but no iron so we had to take some clothes to the dry cleaners. Good...
