"This home was a blessing to us as we visited family in the area. The interior was spotless, but the porches could have used some attention. Pay attention to the host instructions accessing the drive from the highway. My son tried to make the hairpin turn and found he had to backup on the highway to do it. Not a good spot to be in. It was also difficult exiting the drive as your vision of traffic is limited due to the steepness of the driveway. Breakfast is always important to our family. All 8 of us met at the home and I cooked a large farm style meal. Everything needed was at hand. I especially appreciated the little things like salt and pepper, spices, paper towels, sugar for the coffee, even baggies for the leftover biscuits. We all enjoyed the back porch and appreciated the Off we saw on the shelf. The canoe access to the river allowed us to relive memories from many years ago. This was so much better than staying in a hotel room. We will be back."

"I can't say enough good things about this property and the host. It's beautiful and very quiet here. I stayed twelve days and had the most peaceful vacation I've had in years. The house was spotless, and everything you could possibly need has been provided. Ken, the host, is very responsive and very nice. It's secluded, but close enough to town if you need supplies or restaurants. I would definitely love to come back here and stay again."

"We had a great stay. House is old with wavy floors that creak and moan but we loved that. The first floor only has 1 bedroom and the stairs are very steep and slippery so be careful going up and down. Good thing we only went up to go to bed then the rest of our time was on the back deck or by the river. The boys loved running up and down the river trying to hook another big one. Too bad it was too cold to throw our inner tubes in and drift down stream. We would stay again."

"Our stay at the Persimmon Cabin on Faith Mountain was amazing! From the attentive hospitality by Mark and Patti to the exceptional hiking experience throughout the property. The cabin also offers convenient day trips to nearby communities and state parks. Faith Mountain will be kept on our radar for every return trip to wild and wonderful West Virginia!!"

"AMAZING! It was nice to unplug and be totally off the grid for the weekend. The views were amazing and it so peaceful and relaxing. I stayed for my family reunion in Rosedale and will def be back again. I met the owner on a walk, and he was so nice. Much more spacious than being cramped up in a hotel room. The weather was perfect. We played horseshoes and made s’mores by the fire. 1010 recommend! "
