"The check-in was by the key box and as we were away much of the time we didn't meet the hosts. Everything was lovely and the location very central in Cassel, which is a nice small town we'd stayed in many times before. The cottage decoration and furniture is very French in style. Overall excellent but there are a couple of things to be aware of: 1. The spiral-style wooden stairway to 1st and second floors may not be suitable for some people. 2. "Although we have been to Northern France on numerous occasions this was a first, and it did not disappoint. Large property accommodating our party of 3 adults and 3 children (9-14). "Nice house with everything you need. We liked the different spaces at the different floors. Really nice and private outside area with sun during the whole day. Round bed was good as well (enough space for the both of us). Make a note that there is no wifi and sheets+towels are for rent or you can bring your own. Cassel is cozy with different restaurants and take aways (pizza take out around the corner is really good!) and a nice spot from where you can explore the area (Lille, Dunkirk)."
