Central location, clean room and big bed. But that’s about it. No staff present if you have any questions or issues. A family or group of friends had a huge party all night long in their room. It is the responsibility of the hotel to ensure the rooms do not turn into a private club. Did not want to go argue with drunk neighbours at 2 o clock in the morning in my night gown...

I loved the size of the rooms, you won’t find anything close to that anywhere in Rome. It was very clean and the check in was a lot easier than I expected. The B&B is relatively close to all the tourists attractions which is nice but getting a taxi is hard. It would have been nice to have some at the B&B to ask questions to, it wasn’t until the day we left after several calls to the Taxi company that we realized there was a Taxi stand right by the B&B. The walls are very thin and you can hear what other guests are saying, we had the misfortune of having two very loud guests on opposite sides of our room. Be prepared to leave 15 minutes earlier than you expect to leave to be able to get a taxi out.

Basic clean and tidy
Staff were friendly and helpful and the room clean and tidy and pleasant. However, building was undergoing renovations and was extremely noisy especially in the morning at 7:30 am. Breakfast was a croisant and hot drink from a cafe across the road which was nice but no options for vegan or gluten free and not enough of a breakfast for walking miles in the city! Breakfast was supposedly included for 4 days but we only had this for 2 mornings. Tea & coffee facilities were provided outside the room but not replenished over the 4 days we stayed. Overall a good stay for the money but needs improvement.

Clean, confortable and nice stuff.
Be aware that stuff is there 10am-5 pm Breakfast is at MateriaPrima Bar (Carlo is exelente) Very close to porta Pia and 20 minutes walk from Termini Rail Station. Restaurant at the corner in the same street of Materia prima is very good and w good price!! Remember: coca-cola, sprite etc is very expensive in Rome.

Spacious room very basic near a taxi stand and 15 minute walk from the metro. The front desk has limited hours so be sure to ask any questions ahead of time.

A lovely, cosy hotel and a great location with buses and the metro just around the corner. The only downside was the breakfast cafe was closed so 'breakfast' was a croissant in a packet. Also the people who live upstairs in the apartment block where very noisy. Otherwise a really lovely room, comfortable, clean and nice staff!!

Good, clean hotel in nice location
Hotel is in a nice location for food and travelling into the city and it was kept very clean. Staff are only there between 10-2 and we almost didn't get let into the room upon arrival. Can be an issue if you need information as you aren't generally there when staff are. The walls are too thin which means every sound is heard and can make sleeping a big difficulty.

What you pay is what you get!
Porta Pia rooms is a big apartment, fairly central to centre of Rome's tourist attractions (you can walk to all main attractions, almost, which great), inside residential building, cleverly converted into little/medium rooms, divided through fairly thin wall conversions as you can hear others if they're slightly loud. So, it's NOT hotel or hostel. There's little corridor what the owners call reception with desk and computer, fax, wifi device, a little coffee machine for guests with a selection of coffee pods and various teas. There's occasion croissant in vacum-pressed plastic bag and a crisp or two. All this for staying guests. You will be greeted by fairly welcoming ladies, who I assume are related to this place. You'll be asked to pay additional Rome tax in euros, you'll be shown your room, and then once that is over with, providing you've checked in before 2pm, you'll probably never see anyone at the "reception" again, which can be tricky if you've got problems in your room, bathroom, with wifi or God forbid if there was emergency, as you wouldn't know who to contact??? I didn't notice any number for emergencies. Rooms are fairly newly decorated and ok. You'll find the room clean with fresh linen, towels etc. But if you expect your room to be cleaned, you better think again, as all that the maid will do, is to only tide up your room during your stay, no cleaning, changing of sheets.

Great choice accommodation
For someone who wants to be close to the city centre (30 mins walk) with shops, bars, restaurants outside your doorstep this place is a good choice and also very good value for money The room was clean, bedding changed every day and plenty of room to move around Would thoroughly recommend! Will be booking this accommodation again

No good, stay away!!
First of all this is not a hotel. There is no front desk just someone who will be there when you need to check in and that's it! If you happen to need to check in later in the day when it is not normal operating hours they will charge you an additional fee. The "room" is in a residential building so you will need to be buzzed in when arriving. The room was clean but the AC did not work. We visited Rome in late August and therefore the temperature reaches 90+ degrees everyday therefore a non working AC was not pleasant. When i tried to reach out to the contact who confirmed the reservation they tried to blame the non working AC on the fact that the room was in the part of the building that faces the sun the most and therefore the hottest. I can tell you that the problem was the AC because even when the AC was left running the entire day and we returned the room was still scorching hot! I would not recommend this place to stay for anyone. The rooms were not good, the AC did not work and the personnel was not helpful!

Nice place to stay for few days
It was not a hotel but a nice studio/room. For two day stay it was ok. Air aircondition was just fine but it could be better. Very nice and helping lady in the reception. Free Nespresso coffee and snacks. Poor sound Isolation of the rooms. Minor problem with the key of the main entrance. Be careful there is no reception desk office during the weekends so if you are arriving on Satturday or Sunday you have to inform them in advance.

Lovely
The rooms were beautiful and just 1 minute away from the bus stop (Bus 62 stops at most of the popular tourist sites). I really enjoyed my stay here. The only thing is: dont expect breakfast; a couple of croissants and [good quality] coffee is provided but that is all; not quite breakfast. But other than the breakfast, this guesthouse is excellent.

Clean and functional, could do with personalising
Liked the pics on Expedia site and booked on seeing them. Area is a little way out of Rome but on frequent bus routes, so not an issue, alhough a little far for going back into the centre for an evening. We only did that once, and spent most evenings in one of the local restuaruants, which was fine. Didn't see other residents, as it isn't a hotel, so it felt a bit insular. Getting into the Porta Pia rooms reception is a little difficult if you have trouble with steps as there is a huge step (5-6 inch) just inside the door - had I known, it would have made me have second thoughts as I have issues with steps. My husband had to help me up each time. Perhaps should mention this on details.

Um sucesso
Excelente.
