First off, the location was of this hotel was excellent. It is close to the Trevi fountain, the pantheon, and other sites. The hotel itself is narrow and cramped. The front staff did try to be as pleasant as possible. The room itself was of acceptable size. It was billed as a “Jr suite“. But we were still cramped inside the room. The room had a balcony, which was really cool. The bathroom was very nice. It had a lot of closet space and a sofa, which was nice. But the bed was so hard as to qualify as a torture chamber. It was extremely unpleasant to sleep on. You may have a different experience. But for me, it was torture. There were other problems as well. The duvet cover on the bed was clearly dirty when we walked into the room. It is something that is easily fixed, but the staff seemed very confused by such a basic concept. But they did finally get it. Otherwise, the door to the room had a tendency not to lock. Even though the door closed and latched, you could push it open. I had to close the door multiple times, like three different times, and test it each time to finally get it to properly close. That was very unacceptable. Also, the gym at this establishment is frankly somewhat pathetic. It was in a very small room with a treadmill, an exercise bike, and some weights crammed in there. It was unacceptable for even a basic workout. Last thing I will say is that the breakfast was fairly good. So that was a positive. But I likely would not stay at this hotel again.
